This place is as authentic as they come. The ceviche is the real deal. Big lumps of fresh fish with the real rocoto pepper juice.

Truly amazing food. Parihuela de mariscos has to be one of the best seafood soups ever! The grilled seafood platter is just as good. I have been visiting them for 13 years and its ALWAYS great!

What an amazing place to stumble upon. Humberto was our waiter and he was fantastic! Gave us recommendations from the menu. We had a couple local beers (yummy), the ceviche, pescado machu picchu, and lomito andino. Flavors and textures were out of this world! A must go-to restaurant!

What a great restaurant. It was my first time visiting. The menu is big with so many tasty options that it was hard for me to decide. But everything came out very good. The service is very attentive, fast, and friendly. Also, the pisco sours are a must try as well as the coconut flan. Highly recommend a visit here.

Food is simply delicious, pisco sour was just the way I remember from Peru. Service was prompt and very nice and attentive. It was quiet with nice jazz music in the background. It was early diner so not many customers yet.

We visit this restaurant based on the high review and we don’t regret it. One of the most tasty, delicious food. We order the red snapper, our first dish, then we order the shrimp with the garlic sauce, rice and salad, it was absolutely delicious. Our server Manuel. He was a very nice kind man and he speak very well English.

My wife and myself had a very nice dinner here. It was our fist time at this restaurant in Costa Rica. I had the beef and she had a shrimp dish. They were both very good and seasoned well.
The service was excellent, for being and early dinner 6:00 pm local time. We were the only customers at that time. The place was clean and the meal was delicious.

I’m a big fan of Peruvian food, and this restaurant really impressed me! They have lots of delicious dishes, and the portions are quite large. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere feels warm and cozy. You can pay with a credit card, which is convenient. The prices are a bit high, but totally worth it for the quality you get.

If you love Peruvian dish, this is the place to go. My wife brought me here because it was one of her favorite places to go. She’s a local but I’m the tourist. From the outside, it didn’t seem appealing enough to enter the restaurant. Needless to say, I was skeptical. But, to my surprise, after entering this restaurant, I found myself shocked at how elegantly put together the place looked. It had an old traditional Spanish feel to it. And to top it off, the dishes were absolutely amazing. My favorite dish out of my wife’s recommendations was the soup. Try it, the dish will surprise you with its rich savory flavor. I’d love to go back and try out other dishes. I suddenly love Peruvian.

First visit here was for dinner back in 1998, recently was fortunate enough to return with my oldest son while visiting CR for a kayaking trip. This is where I fell in love with Cerviche many years ago. We both tried different Cerviches and interesting fruit drinks on our lunch visit. It was less upscale than my first visit, but still an great option in San Jose.
