You can get lots of good Central American food here, at inexpensive prices.

I wasn’t impressed when I ate here in early 2023, but my opinion has changed drastically for the better. I think pupusas went from $2 to $3, but the chicharron con queso and chorizo con queso pupusas were much bigger than I remembered before: almost 24 ounces (1.5 lbs), each one. And delicious, too. And some seemingly good salad as a bonus (I hate all salad tbh.) You probably also get over 1½ lbs of rice for the $2 menu price; I liked this rice, having a bit of carrot and bell pepper taste.

Service is friendly, but don’t mistake this place for fast food: it took about 23 minutes to get my pupusas after ordering. This place probably caters mostly to ESL Spanish-speaking immigrants, but I’ve *usually* had service that was fluent in English (if with somewhat accented pronunciation); but even with zero knowledge of Spanish, you should be able to point and order fine with their glossy printed menus.

The interior was clean, and on a hot morning, had several fans running; but the management either likes it hot, or wants to limit the use of air conditioning. It’s pretty inside this restaurant, imo.

It’s not the nicest street location in Eagledale, next to a liquor store and a litter prone corner; but I’d consider it a completely safe area, as long as it’s not late at night.

P.S. Expect a 10% automatic tip charged on your order.

Such yummy food, large pupusas (see pic) and extremely friendly service! We had the pupusas and the enchiladas Salvidoreñas – all *very* delicious!

I was pretty hungry and one pupusa filled me up! My teenage son, who eats a ton, ordered 3 pupusas and an enchilada, and still had a whole pupusa to take home!

They also sell Salvadorian sweet bread.

*You can call ahead and order to pick up as well!

This restaurant is hit and miss, this is why I am giving 2 stars. The first time I was here was a Friday night, the service was good, we made our order at the table, we were served by a nice lady. We had to wait for our food a bit longer than I’m used to, but I accounted it for the fact that pupusas are made fresh. The food was delicious, my food came as ordered.
The second time I came was during lunch with 2 of my colleagues and had a very bad experience. This time they took our order at the checkout, had to pre-pay. The restaurant was noticably less cleanly. We had to wait extra long, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. After 15 minutes of waiting the lady came out of the kitchen asking us to repeat one our orders, they lost it somehow… My other colleague ordered 2 gorditas, one asada, one pollo. The consistency of the asada was very strange, almost like canned meat, it fell apart. The second gordita was brought out later, and not chicken was in it, but the same strange meat. We sent that back. No apologies for the mistake. Only my pupusa order came out perfectly.
If this second experience was the first one, I wouldn’t be back again. But I will give it another try, maybe in a different time and not during lunch time because the pupusas were so good.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant every morning for breakfast for the past three months. While the food is consistently delicious, the customer service leaves much to be desired.

If I’m spending $25-30 on breakfast platter , it’s frustrating to be charged an additional $5 for an extra sauce ( which I was charged the last 3 days ). It feels unreasonable and unwelcoming. As a regular customer, I shouldn’t feel like I’m bothering the staff by asking for certain items to complete my meal I don’t like the yuka and so please remove it ( I didn’t ask for a discount just not the item ) . Good customer service is an essential part of the dining experience, and it’s disappointing to see it lacking here.

I hope the management addresses these issues because I genuinely enjoy the food, but the service needs significant improvement . I also had to come in to order because the person didn’t speak English and kept hanging up on me .

I really hope they work through these things the food is awesome .
