I’ve been coming here for at least 12 years. Family runned and very friendly. Service is great and the food is delicious.
You must try their home made tortillas…flour and corn!
Today I was greeted with a familiar friendly face. And served up with chips/salsa and a sample of tortilla soup. My all time favorite.

I have only visited Regios a few times, and only at the drive thru. Jose at the window has always been friendly and attentive. Always making sure your order is filled properly and offers condiments. The tacos are always good with the chilaquiles being my go to taco. And the best part, the homemade tortillas. Just like mom used to make.

I’ve been going to Regio Cafe for years and it’s still my favorite hidden gem. The food just tastes like home to me (RGV). Homemade tortillas, huevo con jamón, or bacon or rancheros – I love how easy and straightforward the menu is. Which makes me feel like it’s my grandma’s home cooking growing up on weekend mornings. And it’s very affordable. The service is always friendly and makes me feel right at home.
Food – I love the breakfast tacos combinations like “the cowboy” (a step up from your childhood weenies con huevo taco). My favorite dishes are always the chilaquiles verdes plate or the chilaquiles breakfast taco. They both taste different but equally amazing! It’s hard to find a good chilaquiles bf taco at Mexican restaurants sometimes but Regio Cafe’s is by far my fave!

Best breakfast tacos! We visited 8 yrs ago and got to stay in San Antonio again this week. We would not leave without at least one breakfast here. It was just as good as the first time. Highly recommend!

A wise friend once told me “the best breakfast taco in San Antonio is the closest one to you.” We simply lucked out that Regio happens to be down the street because it is the best. Hands down our families favorite go-to neighborhood breakfast taco spot. If you like your homemade flour tortillas extra pillowy, this place is for you. The chilaquiles taco with the gooey melty American cheese is my personal favorite, but I love trying all the variations they come up with for taco combinations. Mary does an amazing job gracefully moving about the restaurant taking care of customers, and the drive-thru service makes early morning taco runs a no brainer.

For Mexican breakfast this is the place to go. Ordered the Huevos rancheros plate with a tostada with egg. Coffee was served piping hot with ample refills. The huevos rancheros were excellent. This dish came with diced potatoes, refried beans, and extra flour tortillas. Everything on the plate was delicious. The flour tortillas you could tell and taste were made in house and I used them to soak up the leftover sauce and egg. The tostada with egg was equally delicious. Service was great and the inside decor was very refreshing and relaxing while dining. Super great place for breakfast or brunch!

From the moment you walk in, the staff at Reggio Cafe makes you feel like a regular—even if it’s your first time. Genuinely kind people. The tacos are outstanding, with truly S-tier tortillas. That’s high praise in San Antonio, especially with so many great spots nearby.

BEST Mexican restaurant on McCullough and surrounding neighborhood area, hands down! I was going to be in this area a few weeks and needed a spot close by for breakfast or lunch. I tried two other restaurants on McCullough that didn’t even compare to Regio Cafe’s quality, freshness, service and ugh-THE TORTILLAS! These torts are probably the best I’ve had in SA, YET! Soft and fluffy every single time, even when they’re cooled down they’re perfect. They don’t turn into a hard disk- ha! You know what I’m talking about. I go no where else for Mexican food near McCullough. Been to this spot at least six times in the past six weeks and not once disappointed! The cheese they use in their tacos is out of this world…what KIND is it! Their coffee is good enough to drink BLACK- no bitterness and super fresh. Their tortilla CHIPS, guys they are NEVER stale but very toasted and crunchy. And to compliment your meal, you MUST ask for the (small batch) “special red hot sauce” the Owner makes herself…mmm! (I’ve gained at least five pounds, I’m sure of it!) The Albondigas are over the top with a spicy just right kick-YUM. For breakfast or brunch, my fav is the Huevos Rancheros! The fried potatoes are cut into the most perfect small cube perfectly fried, not a quartered potato that could choke a mule like you get in other restaurants where the cook is too lazy to chop potatoes. Their refried beans are EXCELLENT. They put EFFORT into their cooking and it really shows. It’s the perfect hole in the wall with great prices, great ambience- a mix of music genres, not too loud, not too low, the place is CLEAN and the family staff always has a warm welcoming smile, every time. I’ll try a place at least three times before I give it a review (good or bad), so this is overdue. Highly recommend, check their times, though. I’ll try to post a pic for it this week. Happy dining experiences, y’all!
