We had breakfast here for the 1st time, recommended by my boss who had breakfast here last week.
I always ask for 2 eggs over medium and they were perfect, no runny whites and no super runny yolks! The pankake was super thick and fluffy and had a great taste. The corned beef was very tender full of flavor and very lean. The wheat toast was thick sliced and tasted good.
The restaurant was very clean and organized and I could also see part of the kitchen and again very clean and organized.
The menu was easy to read and not to lengthy.
They also had a case filled with delicious looking backed goods.
The staff was very friendly and at this moment Chef Jared and company is my top pick for breakfast in the Manistee area!

Don’t be fooled by the humble cafe atmosphere… this cooking and care for high quality ingredients is suited for a white table cloth fancy brunch. Chef Jared is passionate and making his dream come true.

I got the Cali omelette (which I ate half of before I took the picture because I was so hungry and it was so good… Pardon the half eaten omelette in the picture) a side of sausage gravy and one slice of whole wheat bread, and one slice of the gluten-free bread.

I’m pretty picky about food, and Jared delivered. The Omelette was full of arugula, goat cheese and avocado, perfectly cooked and a much needed change from the standard Midwestern omelette.

The red potatoes were cooked perfectly and well seasoned.

I got a side of the sausage gravy because I am super picky- most places have a bland glue-like substance. I was not disappointed. Jared makes it himself and it’s perfectly spiced and heavy on the meat to gravy ratio.

The gluten-free bread is very good, most people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. It wasn’t the one that he makes himself which I’m excited to try, but he found a very good one to provide to gluten-free people.

The whole wheat bread he made himself. It’s flavorful and fluffy. Both pieces of toast came with a side of jam. I’m not sure if the jam is homemade, but it could be.

I’m very excited to try Jared’s Burrata salad. It was ordered by a table next to me and it was piled high with fresh arugula, a huge burrata ball, and other colorful vegetables. I’ll be back shortly.

Looking forward to grab a reservation to his small dinners where I’m sure he will be inventive and introduce Manistee to some things we haven’t experienced here yet.

We had the BEST experience with Chef Jared and Company! The food was absolutely incredible, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can truly taste the quality and care in every bite. We ordered breakfast and were blown away by not only how delicious everything was, but also how generous the portions were!

The service was just as amazing. Jadyn was such a great waitress, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Chef Jared even came to our table to chat with us, which made the experience feel so personal and welcoming. He made such a great impression, professional but relaxed and genuinely kind.

And this is saying a lot, my son is the world’s pickiest eater and he cleaned his entire plate and is already asking when we can go back. That alone deserves five stars!

Highly recommend, we’ll absolutely be back. So, so good!

I ordered the biscuits & gravy with a side a red potatoes and coffee. Delicious! The service was fantastic, and as others have mentioned, the chef comes out to check on each table. The restaurant is small so if you have a large group, maybe call ahead or plan to wait a bit for them to be able to seat you. I highly recommend checking them out though! I will definitely be back to try more dishes!!

Food was great. Only issue i had was that it was $15.00 for an omelet and then if you wanted toast it was an additional $3.00. I feel that a little steep for breakfast. Didn’t even get any juice or coffee.

Food was served hot, good coffee, and service was very friendly. Eggs were done perfectly. Over medium for me and over hard for my wife. Didn’t care for potatoes. They use red potatoes with skins, my favorite, but they were way over cooked. I will certainly try again. I won’t judge by 1 visit. The place is super clean, a big plus.

Wonderful restaurant! The menu changes every month which is so nice for a small town where the food stays the same. AMAZING service by Jaiden! So sweet and attentive! Will definitely be coming here again! Best breakfast spot in town! We had 6 people in our party and were able to accommodate us. I will definitely be coming back!
Side note: I like nicer coffee and the coffee was pretty good! Did not taste cheap! Amazing for restaurant coffee!

First time attempting to eat here, had to leave because no seating. Not a big deal, that is normal in a small town with not many breakfast options. Came back a little bit later on in the day, very glad we did. Greeted as soon as we walked through the door. Looking through the menu at first, and instantly a waitress is helping us navigate the options. She took the time to help us understand that chef Jared tries to keep all the ingredients as local as possible to keep it Michigan made, and that he will change the menu slightly through the year to make sure that he is getting fresh ingredients. Very short wait for the food, even with the number of tables still I the restaurant. Waitress, I believe her name was Sydney, was very friendly and professional, making sure to always check on us, making sure the amazing coffee stays topped off. Wife loved the toast so much she made sure to get a loaf of the bread to take home, which chef Jared bakes in house. This is an amazing little spot for anyone, locals and tourists alike, to have a cozy breakfast and phenomenal atmosphere. Chef himself even took the time out of his busy time to make sure that he checks on each table and chitchat a little bit to make sure that you feel welcomed.

I have been to Chef Jared’s a few times now and I have never been disappointed.
The new coffee blend, the homemade bread and jams, the homemade sweets, the burgers… I have loved every meal I purchased. If you want homemade without doing the work yourself. I HIGHLY Recommend Chef Jared’s.
