My friends and I dinned here, the atmosphere and design of the place was very cool, however given the price the food was a low point flavor-wise. My wife and I had steak fajita and beef tacos and both cannot be compared against low key SD restaurants. Drinks and dessert were much better. Also apparently the restaurant validates the 18$ parking ticket upon request, make sure to have the ticket on you if you want to dine here.

Great vibe, great food, great service. Cisco took care of us for a friend’s birthday and the live music was a great touch. Main dining room is buzzing on a Saturday yet they have quieter areas to be seated as well. Definitely a “treat yo self” experience as you’ll walk out paying at least $60/pp or more if you aim for the $20 cocktails. I had the Peachy Keen mocktail and it was super fresh and tasty. Make sure to park in the right garage and get your ticket validated. The lot immediately next to the restaurant is valet only.

Good menu selections. Quality & delicious food, enchiladas & tacos.
I ordered the Lamb meat Mole. It wasn’t as sweet as I prefer; tasted a hint of dark roast coffee. I would not recommend it. But all other dishes tasted good, as expected.

Celebrating two birthdays, ended up leaving dissatisfied. We were a party of 8. Service was poor as our server didn’t check in on us at all and hardly had any presence throughout the night. Appetizers were solid, we got chips and salsa, queso fondito, 1/2 dozen of oysters and chilled shrimp ceviche. Wish I could say the same about the entrees. Not only it taking a long time (around 30-35 minutes), multiple dishes came out cold. I believe it was sitting in the hot pass for too long waiting for the rest of the order to come out. After finally getting the server, he offered to have it remade on the fly. Once it came out it was a lot better, I ordered the taco combination with fish, crispy taco and the carne asada. Pretty average nothing spectacular, expected better for the price point. I’ve have much better Mexican food at old town at half the price point. Only highlight was the birthday desserts, which was a tres leche cake that the server asked if we wanted, not making it a surprise, which defeats the purpose of it. I dont know if the mandatory service charge we had for a party made it to where our server didn’t care to put his best efforts, but having a large party, auto grad or not, should be your top priority. Not worth coming back, wish we had a better experience for the two birthday people.Celebrating two birthdays, ended up leaving dissatisfied. We were a party of 8. I love this restaurant, especially for nice occasions! This was my second time coming here and I loved it even more than the first. We had the handmade corn and goat cheese tamales, Red O chips and salsa, and Mexican street corn to start. The tamales were quite tasty, but the street corn blew me out of the water. SO TASTY! And the chips are wonderful as always. For my entree, I ordered a Red O short rib wet burrito with “xmas sauce” (half green/half red sauce) and it was quite good. I’ve also had the carnitas wet burrito before, and I think I still prefer the carnitas. Great service and very attentive to detail.

This restaurant is absolutely stunning—designed with style and located in one of the best spots in San Diego. The ambiance is top-notch, and the service is truly five-star. The drinks were excellent, and the food was surprisingly good, even for someone like me who isn’t a big fan of Mexican cuisine. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful.
The only downside was discovering gum stuck under the table, which unfortunately got on my pants. I highly recommend that the staff check under the tables more frequently.
Despite that, I would still give this place five stars and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a stylish spot with great food, drinks, and exceptional service!

Pretty space. Nice food. I just now had an enjoyable lunch, paid my bill, and made my way back to the garage. Red O commits to 3 hours of validated parking, I had used maybe 45 minutes. So I come to the gate only to get a message that says the validation was used previously. I tried a few times and got the same message. So my choice was to reverse, park again, make my way back to the restaurant, get a new validation, and try again. But naively I thought I would pay the $6 and *immediately* go back to Red O to have it rectified. Easy, right? Instead, the manager insisted that I take this up with their landlord and they absolve any responsibility for it. I told him he was being penny wise and pound foolish and this is really something they shouldn’t impose on their customer. So now I have to chase down Irvine to have this taken care of. Just plain old poor service.

Really nice restaurant with rustic and elegant decor. I loved the high ceilings and the indoor plants. It felt like you were in another place. We came on a Sunday for an early dinner and we almost had the whole place to ourselves. It was nice but I would also like to see how the energy is on a busier night. On to the food….i love a place that gives you complimentary chips and salsa so extra kudos for that! Our waitress was very attentive and gave us suggestions on food. I ended up getting tacos. Chicken sand short rib. They were very tasty! The tortilla were fresh and nice. They make their tortillas fresh here. I got a Flor de la Canela drink. It was delish but not sure what the fire part was as I did not see any fire on my drink…anyway, the person I was with had fajitas and those were also great!

We came here to celebrate Father’s Day and graduation with a fun brunch! The atmosphere was fantastic, and we loved the food—it was so filling! Our server, Reba, was absolutely wonderful. She was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The chips and tortillas were fresh and oh-so-delicious; we just couldn’t get enough! We tried the Plantain French toast, Chilaquiles, Chicken enchiladas, and short rib enchiladas, and honestly, every dish was excellent!
