This restaurant is an absolute gem! Every dish I tried was simply amazing. The staff is incredibly inviting, attentive, and always upbeat. The music and ambiance create an intimate and classy atmosphere. Here are some must-try dishes: the Rainbow Roll, Chef Larry’s short ribs, chicken Pad Thai, salted cod, octopus salad, Peking duck sliders and Chilean seabass.

A wonderful restaurant with the best sushi in New England. Creative rolls and sashimi are beautifully presented. Entrees are large and delicious. They have a terrific little bar and make good cocktails to go along with the nice Asian beer selection. Service is always helpful and friendly without rushing or hovering. This is my go-to best dining choice whenever I’m in the area. Cheers!

This is one of my new favorite restaurants. We ordered a few items and shared them. We started with the cold noodles with peanut sesame sauce. Wow, was this dish delicious and flavorful. We also ordered a couple of rolls: spring sunshine roll and spicy tuna. Both were really good. My favorite was the entree: Szechuan crispy beef. We also got a side of white rice. This dish is one of the best dishes I’ve eaten. So delicious and flavorful! The restaurant is beautiful and the service was amazing. I will definitely be returning. This place is a must!

Stumbled upon this spot yesterday while dropping my niece off for dance class right nextdoor and I’m glad that I did.
The happy hour options are very broad and the cocktails very affordable. I started with the Shogun on recommendation from Konrad, the bartender – who looks like he stepped out of Peaky Blinders. The cocktail was made with Japanese whiskey and a mix of aromatics. Smooth but definitely warming. Then I followed that up with a creamy matcha martini. Delicious and not to sweet.
I also recommend trying the duck sliders. Rich and juicy, melted right in my mouth. Haven’t had duck like this in ages.
Highly recommend this spot and will be back.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. Upon arrival to pick up my order, the women at the greeting station was on a phone call (for an extended period of time) and completely ignored my presence. I waited patiently, expecting she would finish the conversation and acknowledge me, but when she finally hung up, another female employee came over — and was just as rude. There was no politeness or any effort to make me feel welcomed.
To top it off, the food looked unappetizing. It was nothing like what I expected, and I honestly couldn’t bring myself to even try it.
Given the poor service and the lack of quality, I will never return to this establishment again. I’d rather spend my money somewhere that values its customers.

I’m from California, now living in Texas and visiting Providence. Red Lotus is one of my very favorite restaurants. It was worth the two hour drive each way. Larry the chef/owner is a terrific host and has a great non-traditional Asian menu. Last night’s appetizer was shrimp stuffed jalapeños cooked tempura style. We could have ordered four of those and made that our dinner. For the entree, you can’t go wrong with the Peking Beef. My fav. No mater what I’ve had there, it has been pretty wonderful. A big plus is that staff are well trained and help each other with serving and picking up.

Must have peking duck bun app. Tasted just like what i ate in beijing. Sushi special rolls were selective (not including daily specials) and mostly cooked, but i had the american and it was delicious. Salmon sushimi was also fresh and great. Quiet spot on monday, but would recommend if you are in the area.

Very friendly staff. I enjoyed both my meal and the dining experience. The appetizer was good enough that I barely escaped scorching my pallet, but a short break to nurse my beverage made it perfect, and far less painful to ingest. I have consumed many poke bowls and refuse to argue or defend authenticity. In stead, I defer to the satisfaction that was achieved and the degree to which the flavors and textures interacted to provide memorable stimuli to my mind and senses. As the poke bowl is served without the thermal deterrent that may accompany my fried appetizer, I relied upon the tactic of taking a beverage break after each several chopstick-collected portions. In all, each bite was pleasing and enjoyable.
I ended with dessert and a coffee&Irish cream. They were a delightful combination and fitting end to the evening’s culinary excursion. Establishment appeared clean and well maintained. The staff was observant of sacred cleansing rituals and the sacrament of oral/nasal cavity modesty and pulmonary vapor containment.
I will likely to dine there again during this visit to Connecticut.
