Cozy bar style set up. Went for the food and was not disappointed. The poutine gravy was good. Had a unique tang to it. The Lion house burger was also enjoyable. The sauce they used on it gave it a nice kick.
Would return here to try other menu items.

Awesome soccer pub! Good beer options. Menu looks yummy. It’s just a fun atmosphere with a bar and seating on the main level and the second floor!

Stopped in for another lunch after visiting the O’Malley Europen Foods down the street. Had the scotch egg, bangers and mash, and full english breakfast this time. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Street parking was easy on a Saturday afternoon. This was the second time we’ve been here, the bangers and mash and scotch egg were still excellent. Full English was also delicious! Service was great even during a rowdy Arsenal match. Can’t wait to stop in again!

Hands down best brunch in MKE! Staff is amazing and the food is great.
Update 9/5 Came back with friends this time for dinner. Reece was our table’s server/bartender, very friendly and made us laugh a lot and he had good opinions on what to try. I gave mushy peas a go with my fish n chips and they are a must! Had a few great drinks as well. I’ll continue to come back when visiting Milwaukee and recommend to any friends who are planning on going to the area.

We recently attended a wedding weekend in Milwaukee where the rehearsal dinner was hosted upstairs at Red Lion Pub and then the plated wedding reception was catered by RLP and both were a tremendous success. We recently hosted two back-to‐back events at this venue—the rehearsal dinner and then the plated wedding reception—and we couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out. From the moment guests arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, striking the perfect balance of warm hospitality and professional service.
The food also deserves high praise: both meals were outstanding. The rehearsal dinner menu was the fried fish and chips with a gluten-free paras premaveria, both delicious. The reception was held at Best Place and included a plated meal with three choices for guests each exceeded expectations. Every dish served received rave reviews from guests.
If you’re looking for a venue where your guests will feel cared for and well fed, this pub is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

I came here twice before giving it a review and both times there were issues. This last visit they ran out of a menu item which was fine- no big deal. But I then ordered the bangers which came with very dry sausages that were left in the deep fryer too long and the potatoes were practically room temperature. The bartenders were nice and the bloody was good so I’ll probably be back again, I’ll just remember not to order any food.

This is a real-deal British pub, from the outside to the inside. The English-pub vibe is dripping from the walls and ceiling! Gotta love that huge Union Jack covering the entire ceiling.
We arrived mid-afternoon, so it was not busy. Our service was quick and the food arrived promptly. I liked that the menu leaned heavily towards English pub food items. The cheese curds had a light crunchy coating. My wife described her ‘fish n’ chips’ order as the best she has ever eaten. The breading was light, flaky, crunchy. Not over-seasoned and oily. There was plenty on the plate for 2. I really enjoyed my Shepards pie. It was prepared just the way it should: loaded with meat, both ground and chunks of lamb. You could taste the red wine reduction soaked into the meat. All covered with smooth cheesy mashed potatoes. It was all washed down with a tall glass of Guinness.
Cool pub. Really good food. I’d love to see it at happy hour or St Patrick’s Day. We will definitely go back.

Great, classic English pub with two floors of seating and a nice rooftop patio. Our server was very nice and had great suggestions, and our food came out relatively quickly. My husband ordered the Bangers and Mash, and I chose the Reuben. The Bangers came with 2 1/2 sausages on top of an extremely large bed of hand-mashed potatoes. So large, that cutting back on the portion size wouldn’t have subtracted from the authenticity or deliciousness of the dish. The corned beef on the Reuben was tender, and there was the perfect amount of swiss cheese and fresh sauerkraut. The 1000 Island dressing was thick and tangy, and I appreciated it being served on the side. I ordered my sandwich with a side of “chips” which were thick steak fries. A great cut you don’t see too much of anymore. For dessert, our server suggested the Beignets. There were six small pieces served flaky and hot. A fantastic ending to our meal. I only wished there was more powdered sugar 😉 Red Lion has a great, spirited vibe that caters to everyone. It’s a great place to add to your rooftop bar experiences.

During our visit, they were missing a really long list of ingredients such that we had to change our table order twice. But the server was so gracious and forthcoming it didn’t feel like a real issue.
Ultimately didn’t cause too much disruption, because the food was still hearty and comforting (though mostly unremarkable), and the beer so affordable and delightful. The pasty absolutely hit the spot, so on-the-mark I forgot to take a photo of it, it was gone so fast. Chicken was pretty meh for the price though.
Really weird choice of music for an English Pub though.

This is one helluva restaurant! It is soooo calm, cool, collected and chill. The VIBE is absolutely amazing. My friend invited me to join him on a Friday evening, and I’m so glad he did. The greeter was welcoming, and our waitress, SWEET STELLA, was awesome! She made the evening outstanding. We had the best cocktails, old fashion and an Irish whiskey. The food was delicious. We had the fish n’ chip, cheese curds, jalapeño poppers and turtle cheesecake. This is one of best restaurants on the east side. I will be back . . .
