Ordered delivery on super bowSunday. Food arrived in under an hour still hot. Honey mustard chicken wrap was a huge hit! Delicious and packed with flavor. The chicken tacos were very good. My one year old loved her Mac & Cheese with French fries. The pulled pork sandwich was dry & forgetful…luckily my wife didn’t finish her wrap! Also the sweet potato fries were near the best we ever tried! Garlic parm fries & the regular fries all were seasoned well & hit the spot.

We visited on a very busy day and understand that volume can impact service, so we’re not holding the crowd against the restaurant. That said, focusing on what can be controlled, the service fell short. Drinks took an unusually long time to arrive, and refills took even longer.

Our server, Lucas, seemed disengaged and showed little personality or attentiveness throughout the meal (at least on this visit). For a $75+ check (three drinks, one appetizer, and three entrées) the overall experience including the food felt underwhelming and didn’t match the price point or expectations.

Been here a few times and the quality of the food always seems to be good, but the size leaves a lot to be desired. For example, here’s a picture of my chicken sandwich I got for takeout, For almost $20 would expect a pretty good sized meaty piece of chicken but instead I got this very thin strip in an overall small package. Pretty disappointing. The times I’ve been inside it’s got a good atmosphere in a nice bar to watch sports. If they filled the plates, a little bit more, it would easily be a higher score .

My husband and I really enjoy the food and service at Red Heat. I have celiac and I am extremely sensitive to gluten. I have enjoyed being able to choose anything I want from an enormous menu. We like to sit at the bar and especially enjoy when Kyia is bartending. She is personable, quick, and especially attentive to allergies. The restaurant is always decorated for the holidays and there are always nice specials to choose from. I forgot to take photos but will next time!

My wife and I had an awesome experience at Red Heat Tavern in Westborough. We started with the mesquite wings with the 11 herbs and spices dry rub and a side of the black pepper ranch — the wings were huge, juicy, perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor. My wife especially loved the ranch, said it was one of the best she’s had.

For mains, I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with parmesan fries — incredible spice level and great crunch, and the fries were addicting. My wife ordered the Chipotle turkey melt as a wrap with the cauliflower on the side, and she really enjoyed both. Everything came out hot, fresh, and honestly just delicious across the board. Service was perfect as well!

Great food, great flavors — we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend.

This place was amazing! The service is quickly and they are very friendly. Despite it being fairly busy when we went (dinner time) our server took the time to help us pick our food. Walked us through her favorite items and let us know what was popular!

The food was perfect! My sandwich was great, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was also pretty spicy, tasted like a buffalo or hot sauce on the outside of the chicken. The server also was happy to switch out the blue cheese dressing for ranch dressing for me. The Southern Fried Chicken was also great and much better than my expectations! It had a crispy skin and very juicy meat, the sauce was so flavorful! I thought it tasted similar to a thanksgiving meal. The gravy was thick without being clumpy and had a great flavor. The mashed potatoes were thick and creamy and had no chunks or skin in it!

The jumbo tater tots were very good! SO CRISPY!! I loved the inside it was very creamy and tasted great with ranch as a dipping sauce, though it comes with ketchup and that also pairs well. We also got the fry rub wings (75¢ per wing!) and they were so good. Don’t judge by the picture they were so juicy inside! I was worried when they arrived because the outside looked so crispy and dark but it was just due to the spices on the skin. The meat tasted great and was moist while the skin was crispy and very tasty. I highly recommend going when they have the 75¢ wing deal!

Overall we loved the food and the service. I would definitely go again!

TLDR; quiet neighborhood, nice views, outdoor seating, highly celiac friendly

This restaurant is ironically set back off of route 9 in a plaza that seems to be otherwise vacant. Fortunately, the vacancy means there’s quite a bit of vegetation overgrowth. The views from the patio here are surprisingly lush and because of the plaza vacancy it is fairly quiet.

My celiac friend had a wonderful time as their menu caters heavily to gluten-free options that are actually edible! We got a burger and fries accompanied by chicken tenders and fries. Both were delicious and her meal didn’t taste gluten free but based on her lack of illness afterwards, it was definitely gluten free. We’re very happy this place exists and highly recommend checking it out!

Also, Dave our waiter was awesome and helped us very quickly move indoors when it began to rain. We are very appreciative of Dave.

This place was amazing. The decor is great, service attentive without being overbearing, atmosphere is welcoming (12pm on Sunday), the food turnaround was fast, meals were beyond fantastic and the drink menu was full of fresh options.

We got the Tavern Chicken and Honey Mustard Crispy Chicken Salad w/Asparagus on the side and topped off with Tavern Cheesecake. Drink: Berry Lemonade White Sangria.

Yum yum yum, we will be back!

Good serving size. Boneless tender chicken was tad bit too salty. Loved the mai tai cocktail. Ordered grilled haddock and felt it was too pricey for the quantity they served. Overall 3- 4 rating stars

Food was pretty good; decent variety on the menu. Great seating options: booths, tables, high-tops and special seating around the bar area.
Great bar scene with lots of TV screens; very friendly service; plenty of parking. Kind of a funky location set well back off Route 9; put on your GPS so you don’t miss the turnoff.
Worth a visit
