Decided to give this place a try for the first time for lunch and I’m glad we did! The food was great- we had the prime rib which was cooked just right, the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were great, and my Caesar salad was perfectly dressed. Sundays have 1/2 of bottles of wine too! The inside is pretty cozy looking but we sat on the outdoor patio which was covered and had a decent sized fan keeping air moving and the area cool. Our server was very friendly and attentive even with us outside on the patio. He was especially on top of filling up our water which was great cause it was a hot day. It’s was mid afternoon on a Sunday so we got seated quickly and we’re served pretty quickly as well.

Dude, this is our favorite American food restaurant of all time. Seriously, it’s not your average joint. The menu is familiar and reliable while still being interesting and inventive. We don’t live in KC, but there may come a day when we take a road trip just for these burgers and salads. Oh, and the service felt like a VIP experience.

This is an excellent restaurant that I would highly recommend. The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere that is perfect for a romantic date night, like Valentine’s Day. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, but what really stood out to me was their selection of wines. They have an impressive collection of wines from different regions and varieties, which were expertly paired with our meal.

Ducked in for lunch. Nice casual/upscale atmosphere. Terrific service. Steak salad was excellent, except the steak was a bit chewy. Still, it was a very tasty, well-built salad. Going to provide management a little feedback, here. No need to set thermostats at ‘Klondike’. I rarely encounter this, but it was silly cold where was seated. Seriously, the best of everything can be ruined, if temperatures make guests uncomfortable. Don’t allow that… just sayin’.

Nothing less than a perfect burger can be found here. I ordered the Classic, my colleagues fancier versions, and none of us wished we’d had anything else. I admit the calamari was a bit weird, but everything else was on point – superb selection of tasty brews to the best pretzel bites ever. Such a great place to hang out with your friends or family, I know I’ll find a thousand reasons to return. Yum!

Sad how vastly different two experiences at the same restaurant can be. I tried Red Door in Leawood for the first time a few months ago and it was incredible. Today, my wife went and brought me home a to-go order with a totally different experience. She ordered a sandwich and was brought a prime rib meal at twice the price, and she was too passive to mention to the waitress that it was the wrong menu item so she ate it and it was decent.

Every time I come to Kansas we go to the Red Door for either brunch or dinner. We always always get great service from everyone but especially Lisa and Rebecca. It’s nice to stop somewhere and have the staff remember you! Everything always tastes great but the chicken and waffles is definitely one of the best I’ve had!!!
