Unassuming restaurant with traditional Cambodian meals & a warm, serene dining atmosphere.

I will give it a 3 star, the food is very good, especially the lemongrass chicken, the Chicken they use are good quality no-skin nonfat chicken, the flavor is great, just as the Cambodian food you expected to taste. But it’s a little too salty, hope they will make it less salty, it would be perfect.
The price is a little high for the potion of the food, they are charging a LA price in Phoenix with less portions of the food. If they want to keep the price high they might consider to make the food portion bigger.
(We were still hungry after eating there!)
Anyway, friendly service, cozy environment.

Step out of your comfort zone and into Cambodia! My fist time here and I absolutely love it. Unique and delicious dishes prepared fresh. A little hidden but well worth the drive. The spring rolls were very fresh and paired well with the side sauce, the chicken wings were charred to perfection, very moist but crunchy on the outside. Pork was extremely moist and seasoned well and packed with flavor and I absolutely loved everything I tried. Also, they offer some imported Cambodian beers. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Amazing food. First time trying Cambodian food, it’s pretty similar to other southeast Asian cuisine like Thai and Vietnamese but with a very comforting twist. It’s like the soul food of Southeast Asia. We order a ton of different dishes and shared family style. Everything was so delicious, we will definitely be back to try more dishes and order our favorites again. Reathrey Sekong is a hidden gem in Phoenix, definitely worth checking out!

oh my god this place was a flavor and textural experience. my partner and i are big foodies and this was our first time having Cambodian food and our minds were blown. everything we tried was amazing. amok fish might’ve been my favorite (hard to choose) and it’s so light and delicate in flavor with super soft fish. also get their thai tea!! best thai tea we’ve ever had. the owner is also super lovely and helpful with learning about these dishes so don’t be afraid to ask him stuff!

I flew into Phoenix and only had three days to explore the city and surrounding areas; I’m so glad I made this place a “must go to” during my trip.
I ordered the chicken fried rice and the meat platter – both were very generous in portions, delicious, the service was top notch. I ordered an hour before closing and the server was happy to take my order. The food tasted homemade and it definitely hits close to home. Next time I visit, I will try other offerings and beers.
I love the decor on the inside. There are pieces of history of Cambodia everywhere you look, and it reminds me of home. A neat find is they have a record of Sinn Sisamouth and Ros Sereysothea (both famous singers) on the wall and playing softly in the background.
If you are looking for something different to try, definitely hit this place up. You won’t be disappointed. I look forward to eating here again in the future.

This place is fantastic! I loved the Cambodian mixed grill (they were out of beef skewers), I actually appreciate a restaurant running out of things because it’s fresh. We also had the mi Chen egg noodle with shrimp and beef 10/10! The lemongrass beef was amazingly prepared and like no other dishes I’ve tasted. I will be a regular here, even the sweetened coffee is to die for! Thank you!!!

Cash only, but worth the trip to the ATM! The outside doesn’t look the most inviting, but don’t be turned off. The inside is super cute. The food was excellent. The green mango (i’m a green mango super fan)grilled fish was the perfect combination of tangy, sweet, garlicky and the fish was crispy on the edges and moist inside–so good! Loat cha was simple and satisfying and the beef was tender; eat it with some chili sauce! We also got the jackfruit sticky rice which was also great with subtle flavors and not too sweet!
Don’t pass up this gem of a place!

What a find! Super food.
My wife had the green mango grilled fish and it was delicious. I had the Amok fish which was also super. My son had the Cha Keinei which he enjoyed very much. I also shared a jackfruit with sweet rice with my wife and it was light and delicious.

I’m from the Washington, DC area and we don’t have any Cambodian restaurants there so I was so excited to discover this place. The food was so good that I barely made out of the restaurant before writing this review! Everything was extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection! And I’m Cambodian so I’d know good Cambodian food. Also, the owner was so nice! Cannot wait to return when I’m back in Phoenix!

So after eyeing the photos of food from this restaurant, I finally made a trip down to Indian School Rd. Honestly, I was prepared for my mouth to not fulfill the promise made by my eyes, because how could their food taste as good as it looked?? Let me get to the bottom line: this is the restaurant I’ve been looking for since moving here from the Bay Area. Coming to Phoenix from what is arguably a Mecca for Asian flavors has been… disappointing and challenging. Reathray Sekong was exactly what I was missing and frankly I left the restaurant with what can only be described as gratitude that they are in operation. Do not be fooled by the humble location! The restaurant is charming inside with great service (by a young man with an epic mustache) as well as spotless plates and silverware (fork/metal chopstick). It’s also worth noting the climate control was fine with temp outside at 108.
I had student noodles w/ shrimp and the bbq plate – both were fantastic. Flavors were fragrant and complex with no heavy handed use of salts or sugars. Meats were not conspicuously fatty but were moist and really flavorful. Textures in the noodle dish were varied through use of herbs and crisp cabbage. Finely minced Thai chili was provided to me on request for some heat but most will probably not need/want. Only made it halfway through the two dishes, so portion sizes are generous. Check came to 39, a bargain in my opinion. Can’t wait to go back and try some of their seafood dishes.
Thank you Reathray Sekong!
