What a charming coffee shop! It’s more than just coffee! I had a late breakfast. The corn fritters were delicious! Added a side of savory hash. The staff is friendly and welcoming! You can sit at the counter or one of many tables. It’s really a great place to visit and I can’t wait to return for lunch.

Best Breakfast Pricing on the Island—A Local Gem Worth Experiencing
Ready’s has been a longstanding stop for me, offering an affordable and satisfying breakfast in a town where dining out can often be pricey. While my visits are typically quick and geared toward takeout, the experience changes considerably if you opt for the full sit-down Sunday brunch. Be prepared to wait, as seating is limited and the line reflects its popularity. Despite this, the atmosphere of this charming mini diner makes it worth the occasional delay.
My go-to order is a simple yet perfectly executed pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich, paired with a refreshing glass of pineapple juice—a rarity in OC that sets Ready’s apart. While their grilled cinnamon rolls and coffee haven’t impressed me personally, they’re favorites among my family, showcasing the variety this spot offers. Lunch options are equally satisfying, and the willingness to customize orders adds a personal touch that can be hard to find in similar establishments.
That said, my experiences here haven’t been without the occasional hiccup. On one visit, a waitress seemed overly concerned that we might leave without paying, repeatedly asking us to settle our bill with her rather than at the front, which was uncharacteristic of the generally warm and accommodating service I’ve come to expect.
Quirks aside, Ready’s remains an exceptional value, especially on an island where dining often comes with a premium. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite to go or settling in for a meal, it’s a spot worth trying for its pricing, charm, and solid breakfast staples.

We finally got to “Ready’s” for breakfast and very glad we did! The food and old Ocean City come off the beach and grab a quick bite charm was comforting. Mostly counter and booth seating (mine was like a recliner ) Our server Jill and the chef Doug, were super friendly and informative, Doug actually sat with us for a bit and discussed his recipe for the delicious creamed chipped beef that I ordered among other topics! …and by the way they are the owners as well! We will definitely be back to try the Eggs Benedict that I’m hearing good things about! A very hometown friendly feel to this nostalgic, vintage eatery, thanks again Doug and Jill…

Iconic vintage home town comfort food feel restaurant is a treat if you are looking for a known hole in the wall restaurant. Coffee is fresh. We ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy on the side and stuffed French toast . These were both excellent recommendations provide by Monica our most personable waitress who who began as a customer herself. We went for lunch on a Tuesday and were seated without a wait. It’s evident regulars dine here as most were greeted by name . Highly recommend.

We tried multiple breakfast places while in OC. This was our favorite. It felt homey and you felt like you belonged there. They made delicious pancakes, omelettes and bacon and egg cheese breakfast sandwiches! Thank you!

Wish I knew about this place sooner! Food is amazing and it’s in a retro coffee shop atmosphere with counter seating as well. We were in town for couple of days and tried to go to another establishment that didn’t work out due to bad customer service, definite not HOOKED on them and their long wait times, very over rated. We came here and walked in and got a table, the food was amazing and hot! My fiancé had the creamed chopped beef which he loved and I had their breakfast sandwich. Everything was delicious and the service was fast and courteous.

We stopped in to get some hot soup because it was so chilly outside. The soup was clam chowder and it was the best I’ve ever had ! I definitely recommend you stopping in for their soup and checking out the rest of their menu !
