I’ve heard a lot of great things about this place, So I had to try it. To begin, their salsa is very solid and quite tasty. For lunch I ordered the chicken street tacos with a side of rice and beans. The tacos were a solid a 7 and the rice was an 8. I found the beans lacked flavor and were okay at best. I’d say this restaurant deserves 4 stars of 5. However, I could get not get past the dusty atmosphere and sticky floors. The lamp above our table was dusty as well as all the wall decorations. It felt as though dust could fall on my food at any given moment. I would not recommend eating here until the cleanliness is improved.

The salsa is good and the chips are thin and crisp. We had happy hour margaritas on the rocks and they were not very strong. The white queso is a bit bland. My husband ordered the steak ranchero “spicy” which meant they added sliced rings of habanero – very good! I had shrimp tacos and they were fine. I also liked the rice and beans but they are mild in flavor for some people’s taste. Our server was energetic and checked on us frequently. The music was too loud for us to have any decent conversations. Other than that it was a nice place to eat.

Updated with photo: First time going for takeout. Communication was a little bit hard at first via phone. The food was quick, hot, and authentic. The drinks is what I think of when visiting a Mexican restaurant. Super Strong and plentiful. Take a Designated Driver..lol. Oh it gets crowded fast so plan accordingly. Me and coworkers will be visiting soon for a going away. Think this might be a regular thing for me. Definitely a must try if in area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Last thing price is not for week at heart. I stopped by for lunch today and had a very nice dining experience. My party of two was promptly served chips and salsa. The chips were light and airy, and the salsa was very flavorful. I don’t care for hot salsa, and this salsa is more on the mild side. My lunch was an order of Crazy Rice made with chicken. It was cooked well, and the portion was more than twice what I can eat at one meal. This particular dish is not overly spicy, which I like. The interior of the restaurant is bright and spacious and looks like it could handle large groups. The service was great. We received our food quickly and at the end of the meal we received our ticket promptly. I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for tasty Mexican food.

The quality and taste of the food were both very disappointing. The service was horrible. The crazy rice deluxe wasn’t freshly made. The rice was noticeably dry. There was nothing “deluxe” about it, considering it was lacking key ingredients such as bacon and sauce. Not to mention, it didn’t look anything like the pictures we saw. This was the reason we decided to try Ramirez, and we were highly disappointed. Our waitress was not very attentive or available. She disappeared several times. After finally stopping by to take our drink order, we waited for her return to take our food order, but she never came. We opted to get the attention of a busboy in order to place an order. When our waitress decided to return, we informed her that the busboy had taken our order because she never came back. She replied, ” I know he told me.” Our food arrived shortly, and we were missing tortillas for one of our dishes, and we were told would be out. They weren’t, and again, we had to find someone to get our tortillas. The crazy rice didn’t live up to the hype. The taste and presentation were lacking. The service and our experience here were unacceptable. The chips and salsa were delicious!

Kept seeing the signs about the award winning salsa and it didn’t disappoint. The margaritas were great too. I couldn’t decide on what to get so I went with the sampler, it was pretty good. But I really could have eaten the chips n salsa all-day. Definitely will be back

We went there for the reviews. They didn’t disappoint. We were a party of 6. It was crowded. They put a table and carried 6 chairs to make a space for us. Service was immediate and gracious. Never felt so welcome and such a happy atmosphere. I wish there were more places like this. Food was fabulous. Wish we had a place like this in Denison, Tx
