At the south end of Lake Freeman is this jewel of a restaurant… wow! On the deck, you can watch the dam & power generation building while listening to live music in the evenings. Catfish is their specialty. This is my new favorite country social club!

This is a good place to stop off and get a good meal. Just a rock solid place for some good food. The wait staff can sometimes be overwhelmed due to staff shortages. However, they treat you very good. It’s not a fancy restaurant by any stretch of the imagination. It’s just a nice relaxing place to get some good food and drink. During the warmer months, you can sit on the patio. Which overlooks the lower end if the dam. The sound of nature and falling water is relaxing. Add to that, they periodically will have live bands on the patio. This only adds to the charm and desirability to want to go there. We are, and will continue to be, regular customers. We recommend this place to anyone who just wants to relax, enjoy some good food and drink, and enjoy the country charm of a restaurant located outside of the city.

The server was great! The food was horrible! I was vomiting time i walked out the building. I wasn’t sick before I ate! The bathrooms are horrible! They have two men’s restrooms. One doesn’t lock and the other is a closet turned into a restroom. They are remodeling with trip hazards all around. The have an offer if you eat so much food. I have a picture of the offer, but if completed you still have to pay. I didn’t eat that! I’m sorry I ate there at all. The only enjoyable part was bottomless napkins. Oh don’t ask for smelt! They have a delivery on Wednesday an supposedly gone next day! I DON’T advise anyone to eat there.

Drive to Indy and eat at a restaurant there, you’ll get you food faster than if you come here. Said they were going to discount our meal then did not, paid full price to wait 2 hours for some greasy mediocre food and be ignored by our server. Came for a birthday, left with a few years off our lives.

If I could go back and get my time back I would. Spent over 2 hours in this place. Started with nobody coming to our table for 30 minutes before we had to go ask if someone was going to take out order so we could at least get drinks. Then we watched others that order after us get salads l, baked potatoes and food while we just waited. Then they told us no more baked potatoes but yet we watched several tables that came after us get their salads and eat, get baked potatoes . Our meal was served by per item. Never have I ever experienced that. When I finally got my salad they then brought out other sides and said here at least you can eat this while you wait. The waitress was not on her game and the food was not worth the price. I only give a 3 for atmosphere because they had a band will never go back . We were not even offered a discount!!!! The food was average and the prime rib is not as good as Texas Roadhouse and priced well above. The blue gill was below average!
