First of all, this place is a Mexican restaurant. They serve quesadillas and burritos (tex Mex I know) as well as other Mexican fare. This is the first menu they gave us. We were clearly confused and they were like “ramen?” And we nodded and they gave us the ramen menu. My friend and I ordered the “soyu” ramen (presumably shoyu spelled wrong) and pork buns.
No joke the noodles and toppings are stored in a refrigerator in a black plastic bowl and the broth in a plastic container that they microwave before bringing to you. The egg is overcooked and the chashu is not good at all.
Pork buns: same bad chashu and the rice buns were dry.
Lastly, the bathroom is in the kitchen. You literally have to go where they are making the food to use the bathroom and I was waiting for an employee to come out. When I finished washing my hands I went to dry them and there was nothing to dry them on…so where did the employee dry his hands? Answer: He didn’t. The door handle was still wet.
Lastly, their health inspection rating was B. I didn’t even know this was possible.
But, interestingly, our one friend got the Mexican food and said it was actually pretty good. And when I was in the kitchen I saw the lady home making the tortillas so that was cool.
If it wasn’t for the deceit of the name and the awful ramen and the b health inspection rating might have given this place two stars for the theory of the Mexican food being good.
It went into the garbage.. waste of money
