Ramen was absolutely terrific; our first ramen spot in California that we genuinely love since moving here! As frequent travelers to Japan, we’re pretty particular, and this comes impressively close to authentic Japanese ramen and curry.

I’m confident this ramen shop is the best in Los Angeles. The flavor is rich and robust, yet not overpowering, with a clean finish. You can really tell it’s made with great care. You rarely find this level of quality even in Japan.

Came here for a solo date, it was my first time & the business was a little packed so I added myself to the waitlist, didn’t take more than 15 minutes, store is small so I can see why that was added. I was placed in the back which I didn’t mind since I was by myself.
Pro: Food was tasty! I ordered a Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen & Gyoza for an appetizer. The Ramen’s broth was flavorful & the pork was tender & ripped apart beautifully, the Gyoza was typical gyoza just smaller than I expected.
Somewhat Con: Mostly everything is self-serve besides the food. There’s a stand where you can grab utensils, napkins, & cups of water. I would’ve been fine with that if I knew that was the case.
Con: They have an online menu where you order from. Personally, I did not have much connection inside (in that plaza in general) so when I first sat down I struggled for about 10 minutes before ordering because the website would not load at all. It wasn’t until I got up & saw that they had a kiosk in the front to order, which I did just that. Lastly, the wait time.. My order took 38 minutes for it to arrive, add that with the ten minutes of me struggling with the website I was already there for almost an hour with no food. I understand that they were busy making the food but what bothered me was that a pair arrived a while after me (10-ish minutes? They came in when I was trying to work the online menu) & they had received their meals first, mind you I came by myself & they were two people.
Overall the food is very good & I’m glad I got to try it! Would I come again? No. Three stars are for the food. They should definitely hire more staff since I only saw one girl having to clean & sit people. Maybe that could help with the time as well.

I’ve visited the Ramen boiler room several times, including during its opening. The menu then was quite similar to what it is now. Some of my favorites is the Tonkotsu ramen, Spicy Yuzu Shoyu, and Karaage chicken—a deep-fried chicken served with dipping sauce. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is simple and cozy. The menu and its items are reasonably priced, providing excellent value for your money.
In the past, I’ve gone in and ordered and just waited for my food. However, this time I tried ordering from the website. I’ve noticed some issues with the online website. I’m writing this review because I’m so disappointed with the service I received. I tried ordering online, but the website was malfunctioning and wouldn’t accept orders at the moment. I had to call the restaurant several times, but no one answered the phone, and it went straight to voicemail. The voicemail system wasn’t set up, which was also frustrating.
When I finally got through to someone, they informed me that they couldn’t take phone orders because the orders wouldn’t be sent to the kitchen. So I asked if they could simply take the order to the kitchen, but they couldn’t do that either. It’s unbelievable! I would have said something else, but I chose not to. This is an absolutely terrible way to conduct business. I suppose they don’t value my money or my business—whatever.
Overall, I believe the Ramen boiler room is definitely worth four stars. It could easily be five, but the inconsistent online experience makes me lean towards four stars. I think four is a fair assessment.

Randomly came across this place as a quick pit stop on our road trip and realized we lucked out on the best ramen we’ve ever had. Friendly service and the food was delicious, the cook even brought out our food himself. I got the Tonkotsu and my bf got the spicy Tonkotsu, we were big fans of the pork’s flavor. Overall a great experience, highly recommend!

Go now! Try it ASAP!

The ramen was so flavorful there is nothing to complain or improve. I can’t believe I was able to find such an amazing ramen spot nearby, new go to. Pork was juicy with a beautiful crust to it, noodles a bit al dente but I like that and the broth wow.

10/10

the seabura broth is thick, along with the thick noodles, it grabbed the broth tightly
giving such an impressive taste
the chashu is super tender
however this is more like a winter type of ramen
i like my spicy yuzu
the soup is slightly more freshening
usually im the thick noodles type of person, but today im definitely going for this one
ahh the kaarage is a must as well!!

service is more like a self service
but the vibe is really relaxing!!!!

Ramen Boiler Room has delicious ramen! The broth is deliciously rich and so creamy. I also appreciate the broth not being overly salty; it was the perfect saltiness for me. I usually prefer thicker noodles, but the thinner noodles in the tonkotsu worked. The karaage was also solid, and the sauce paired well with it.
