The veggie sushi roll was OK, not worth 7.50 for 6 small pieces. The crab cake was runny and had a very strong “fish” odor, I did’t eat it. Upon pick-up, I did ask if this was the crab cake appetizer for 13.00? I was told yes. I did have to request the sauce that is suppose to come with the crab cake ( which was barely half full in the condiment container. I will NEVER, order there again despite two young boys at the register that were very nice.

I cannot emphasize how amazing this place is. All of their selections taste so fresh and have the best taste to them compared to any other sushi place I’ve been to. The Snow Mountain roll is a huge favorite of mine!

This place should be so much busier. They are so good! Service is great and food is fantastic. We got there at 5:00 and we were the first ones there. But by the time we left at 7:00 they were busy, their food is quality! Tonight’s sushi was Mount Fuji, (my favorite) Kiss of Fire (a new one, we loved it, it came out flaming) and sea creature sushi. Absolutely fabulous!!!

I went at 4pm for an early dinner, no one was inside. It ended up just being my friend and I for about the whole hour and a half we were there. Very quiet, but nice environment! I got the bento box and it had a good variety of options that came with it. Good restaurant for a quick bite for dinner and more than enough options beyond sushi if that’s not your go to!

This was my first time dining at Raku. Very casual atmosphere in the trendy West End shopping area. I started with a sake flight and avocado salad. I’m not a raw fish sushi lover so I went for the sweet potato tempura roll and it was delicious. Prices are very reasonable for a sushi joint. Everything was freshly prepared and the service was great. After dinner there’s plenty of bars and shops within walking distance if you want to wander around. Miss this area of the Twin Cities. We’ll be back when winter is gone!

Wow! Speechless. This place is hands down the best Japanese place I have been to. I’ve been to a lot of places but here, you get that feeling when you walk in of calm mood and relaxation. The seating is comfortable like you you’re at home. Well, actually this is more comfortable than home. Dim lights, candles, sweet calm music, authentic art, tasty food, properly prepared sushi dishes and drinks. Wow! I can’t say enough. I have many friends that told me to try this place but I kept brushing it off until now and I regret not racing here before. This place makes a great dinner and drinks, family quick bite or even that late night dinner with your significant other. I am surprised at the rating as it’s worth 6 stars in my opinion but again it’s just my opinion based off my experience here. I am usually skeptical about eating sushi but Raku made it possible for me to enjoy sushi in many different flavors with ease. I give it a two thumbs up and hands down the best Japanese eatery. Come here and tell me what you think. Well thank you Raku and I appreciate the good eats and drinks. Keep it up!
