Rajput Indian Cuisine was established in 1999 by Y. Paul Chhabra in Hampton, Virginia with the motto of providing a comfortable, Indian heritage inspires atmosphere and authentic home-style cooking. Mr. Chhabra has managed several restaurants and worked with renowned chefs from the USA as well from India. It is running successfully since then having won several awards & recognitions. His future plans are to support the upcoming chefs & entrepreneurs in the industry including the vegan trend and cloud kitchen trend with his experience. He plans to build a supportive ecosystem for ambitious professionals providing them with A to Z services for opening and running a 21st-century food outlet and taking benefits from his experience.

What an amazing outing experience! The Servers presented each dish with delight and a show of pride of personal ownership. Each dish ordered had the authentic flavors as expected and more. Each dish was certainly 10 out of 10 in quality but also in quantity as well….they did NOT skimp on the dishes.
If the motto of the Manager and the restaurant is to truly make the eating experience an enjoyed, satisfied and pleasant one for the Customer – Well they did that – by exceeding expectations. I will be highly recommending Rajput Norfolk to my friends, incoming family and visitors.

The Tandoori chicken is exceptionally delicious. However, the naan was a bit tough rather than soft.
Additionally, the interior design is pleasing, and the service is commendable with waiters checking in several times to ensure everything is satisfactory.

I’ve been ordering through door dash for years and decided to come with my husband and 4 year old today!! The buffet was delicious and stayed full and clean. The services was perfect, not overbearing but there when we needed him. The soft music mixed with the sweet songs of while enjoying a delicious meal!!! I will be back!!

**Back again & what a delight to eat this Northern Indian array of wonderfully cooked buffet food! we had a lovely hostess Ms Aliyah, great customer service! Best buffet I’ve ever had & if you’re health-conscious like me, you can pile on the savory vegetables onto your plate! I highly recommend Rajput Indian Cuisine in Norfolk, VA-so well decorated!

I’m not an Indian food connoisseur but I know bad and this is not bad. We went for dinner and the food was great, service was great, nice beer/wine/cocktail selection. Even let us put the game on the TV during dinner.

Sunday buffet is around $22.44! The guy at the counter seemed nice. Food is not fresh including salad . Went there for mutton biryani for my husband which was okayish. Chicken leg was dry. Vegetarian options for me was worse. Old mushroom curry, salty dal makhani, & stale/tastless palak paneer. Uttapum was okiesh. Only dessert “kheer” was horrible!
Long way to go for Indian/Nepalese buffet people to catch up with American and Chinese buffets. I hope we will get there someday. Provide what you charge for!! These kinda buffets need to stop being stingy when you charge customers! No paper napkins!The seat was broken, the other side customer and I were seesawing! Barely working bathroom! Wouldn’t come here again if the quality of the food doesn’t improve! Hungry me was trying to stuff myself and couldn’t finish my 1st plate . Looks were deceiving this time!

Ordered a mango lassi, Garlic Naan, Dhansak (with bone-in goat), was delicious!
Levels of spice: Medium is a tickle of spice, Medium Hot won’t make my nose run.

I honestly don’t know how this place has over 1,000 good reviews. I ordered paneer tikka, Himalayan chili paneer, and tandoori chicken tikka and every single dish was a disappointment.
The food was absolutely not authentic. The paneer dishes had artificial coloring dumped in just to make them look the part, but the flavors were completely flat and tasteless. The vegetables were practically raw, as if they barely touched the pan.
The chicken tikka was the worst offender they advertise it as being cooked in the tandoor, but it clearly wasn’t. The chicken wasn’t even cooked through properly, which is not just careless but unsafe.
I left wondering if they had ever actually tasted the dishes they serve. Save your money and your stomach there are far better Indian restaurants around

It’s been over five years since I last visited, and my previous experience was honestly horrible. But this time around, I was pleasantly surprised. Our server, Pramod, was excellent—he completely changed my opinion of this place. He took care of everything we needed and made sure our drinks were always full. His service made a huge difference.
