Breaded tenderloin was delicious and HUGE. It could have easily made 3 sandwiches and was thicker than the width of a butter knife. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the onion rings with petal sauce as the perfect accompin… acompan… accumplim… side. Chef’s kiss. It was all delicious and the staff is lovely.

While there isn’t much in Mitchell, this cute cafe makes up for it. We stopped for lunch while in the area and had some of the friendliest service we have had in a long time. The restaurant was very busy but it didn’t take away from feeling like we were their number one customer. They happened to have persimmon pudding that day for dessert which was fantastic! My husband had a Reuben (the Grissom sandwich) with onion rings. The onion rings were delicious and he enjoyed the Reuben as well. I had a BLT served on thick Texas toast. We both were pleased and plan to remember this place next time we are in town!

My husband mother and me were out driving around. I had checked out this restaurant and couldn’t wait to try it. We fell in love with Railroad Cafe and our next adventure will probably include stopping by. Kathy was our sever and another gal greeted us very friendly upbeat! Made sure to pack our persimmon pudding so it wouldn’t get taken. Food was amazing! I’m still eating on my tenderloin lol!

This place is great and I’m planning to go back even though it’s about 45 minutes away from me. I had the Reuben and it was amazing – the flavors and textures were perfect and set a new higher standard for all other Reubens to measure up to. Not soggy, and high quality ingredients. World class flavors!

Last two times I have went food was made wrong. Put mayo on sandwiches when asked for none. Allergies. Got other people’s food. Was charges 150 for a 70 dollar order. I got refunded both times. Tried to give them a chance but thats to much money to not get what you order. Have been there a few times and it was delicious

We drove from north of Indy. No sign to seat yourself. We waited 15+ minutes before anyone came to our table. 10 more minutes before our sodas arrived. Then our tenderloin & fries came. Tenderloin had great taste. Minus the pickles (which I asked to take off). The fries were barely warm and gooey. The wait staff were NOT friendly or even accommodating. Will not be back.

The waitress was nice enough. The food, specifically The tenderlion was large as advertised, but as an expert reviewer and being on the Tenderlion trail, the taste was salty and subpar. I rate it near the bottom. I Will say the onion rings were fantastic, but disapointed in the main course. Some might like it but for us was a big disapointment.
