Love the layout and atmosphere. I really liked the high backed bench seating, Just makes the meal feel alot more private. Food was top notch. The beer cheese and gigantic pretzel were excellent. It’s probably the freshest calamari I have ever had. The joyce burger was juicy flavorful and the toppings were overflowing . Drinks were poured nice ans strong. Our server Stephanie was attentive and gave great recommendations. excellent service all around

Take your business somewhere else. Dress code is lunacy. You can be dressed presentable and still not let in. I’ve had less dress code rules from major nightclubs in Manhattan. Place is not worthy of a dress code, if you have been inside you know. Not to mention the rules don’t make sense. Bouncers get off on being discriminatory and it’s a power trip for them. Plenty of other awesome bars in the area who don’t do this. I advise to take your business somewhere else. I went to James Joyce once a few years ago had an awesome time, but after experiencing that, I will never go back. Stay away!

It was a quiet sunday, just what we were looking for. The food was delicious, and the service was fast and friendly.

The place was crowded and the dress code was strict some of my friends were left out ruining the mood, the songs were average. I suggest everyone to follow the dress code – no hoodies, no colorful shoes, no sneakers or jordans, etc

Disappointed. Been here before and enjoyed for & drinks with a group of friends . This time was definitely different. Ordered pickup to go online through GrubHub for lunch. When I came to pick up, they told me order never went in because they didn’t check the system yet. I had to replace the order and wait again. Unfortunately it wasn’t worth the wait. Very greasy Cuban sandwich and fries were unseasoned. Wouldn’t order lunch again.

I had the most wonderful experience at James Joyce. We celebrated a 40th birthday with about 30 family and friends. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, the service was impeccable and the management was easy to work with. The restaurant itself is stunning and the high ceilings with beautiful lighting makes everything feel more open and spacious. Our guests raved about a great time and I couldn’t be more thankful for such a wonderful birthday celebration.

Very good food and nice atmosphere…..but, the second floor seating has a constant cold breeze that blows heavy over the tables. We were all so cold we couldn’t wait to eat and go. They need to figure something out about that. Then it would get 5 stars from me. Sit downstairs for sure.

i (25) showed up with my gf who is 22 and we were both denied despite showing multiple forms of identification. i have clearly seen them let in underage girls before (multiple times). he was disgustingly rude towards us and i suggest you don’t even waste your time on that line. went to daisy’s after, very nice people there.

I went here just for dessert and ordered the warm apple cobbler with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. But, this place is huge, great place to eat and I will plan on going back for lunch or dinner. There is on street parking and a town parking lot close. Bathrooms are very clean. The staff are very professional and friendly.

Sadly this place manager and owner is very racist. I didn’t bother going in because I was disgusted at the way they were treating people outside. Very condescending and irrational. Just cruel. I been there one time before, the music was good, drinks good, but bad management behavior.
