UPDATE: 2/1/2025 4 AM – Placed an app order and no one is at the store! Lights are on but no one’s home. Called the number listed on the emailed receipt, and that’s off too. Terrible service lately.
The food is tasty & did I mention FAST.
This isn’t a case of “Oh no, I forgot to order them” or “Maybe I didn’t click the right button.” I double-checked. I was charged. The receipt says fries. My stomach said, “Yes, let’s go.” But both times, when I opened the bag — no fries. Just a sad little pile of napkins and broken dreams.
What’s most frustrating is that it’s such a basic part of the order. I’m not asking for anything complicated. Just… include the item I paid for. The fries are a major part of the combo — not just a side dish. Without them, it’s not a full meal. It’s like being handed a sandwich without the bread and being told, “Well, the meat’s still there, enjoy.”
And yes, I submitted the missing item request through DoorDash both times, but honestly, I’d rather not have to micromanage my food deliveries like this. At this point, I can’t trust this location to get the order right, which is disappointing — especially when there are other Del Taco spots that consistently get it right.
Del Taco on Robertson, please take more care in order accuracy. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect that the food I paid for actually makes it into the bag.
Until then, I’ll be ordering elsewhere — preferably from a location that respects the sacred bond between a customer and their fries.
