The food and drinks at railcar were really good! There was a big drink menu, the appetizer we had was good, and we all enjoyed the steaks. Our service was great, slightly slow, and the restaurant is loud itself, however we were there on NYE so that is most likely why.

Sat down and took 10 minutes, to get acknowledged or drinks.
When my daughter got her sprite there was a fly in it. When we asked for a new drink, they brought water back. And when they refilled it for the 2nd time, they brought sprite back again. So it was sprite, water, sprite.
Daughter and I wanted something light, we both ordered from the kids menu. I dont mind that I didnt get half off, but my daughter should have.
Then my daughter overheard the lady running the front desk not only talk about me behind me back, but then the server came over and said for future reference I cant order from the kids menu because his boss “yelled” at him.
The food was amazing. But God the service was terrible. If your going to advertise kids meals are half off sun- tues, then honor it.
I dont think ill ever come in person again.

I had an incredible experience at Railcar Modern American Kitchen, and it was 100% thanks to Rachel! From the moment I sat down, her customer service was absolutely top-notch. She took the time to really understand my preferences and made thoughtful suggestions based on what I was in the mood for. Her knowledge of the menu and the craft cocktails was impressive – she clearly knows this place inside and out.
The drinks she recommended? Absolutely THE BEST. She nailed exactly what I was looking for and then some. And the food – wow! The chicken schnitzel was perfectly crispy and delicious, and the gnocchi vodka was incredible. Everything exceeded my expectations.
It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about making sure you have a great experience, but Rachel went above and beyond. Her recommendations were spot-on for both food and drinks.
I’ll definitely be returning, and I’ve already told several friends to check this place out. If you’re lucky enough to have Rachel as your server or bartender, you’re in for a treat. Railcar has gained a loyal customer thanks to her exceptional service and amazing food!

Troy, our server and Trey, the manager were amazing! I just got my wisdom teeth out and all I wanted was a water and some bisque and they both went above and beyond to ensure I had a delightful meal and didn’t have to starve any longer! Railcar is one of my favorite places in Omaha to eat and the food never disappoints but the service was immaculate. Very kind individuals.

Great food, fantastic flavor! The menu was different and challenging for my basic breakfast husband and food came out slow, so I was afraid this wasn’t going to be a great experience. Food presentation was spot on and the flavor…. so good. Husband had the Pileup and I had the croque madame. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had. Thank you!

Our server Angela was helping us for my birthday dinner today. She was soft spoken, professional, thoughtful and was every part as much of the 5 stars as the food was. She picked a perfect dessert that was complimentary for my birthday that was delish and seemed freshly made. My husband and I both got different steak entrees that were absolutely perfect. 10/10 would recommend to anyone for a nice date night or special occasion.

We really enjoyTimber and were hoping this would be just as good. Sadly, that was not the case. Firstly, this restaurant is really showing its age. Very rundown, wet and sticky floors, especially in the bar area, just ick. I probs wouldn’t even mention this were it not for the experience I had with the food. Ordered the cast iron bread service, waiter sets it down proclaiming how hot it was, and the grocery quality pretzel buns were hard and cold. I sent it back and the second order came out the same way. Cheese curds were good. The French onion soup sounded amazing, guess what? Came out cold, with onions that weren’t fully cooked, and arrived about 30 seconds before my entree. I ordered the prime rib, it was good but cold. This place could not get the temperature issues fixed. I won’t be back. $140 for a mediocre dinner is something I only do once.
