This awesome little place has the meatiest chicken cracklins I’ve ever eaten. The food isn’t too spicy and is loaded with flavor. The minute I rolled in and smelled the deliciousness, I knew this was exactly what I thought a stop for food in Louisiana would be.

I love the hole in the wall places and this is just that. Yes they do have a full restaurant this is a little shop about the size of a food truck. They have a drive through and you can walk in. It is as the British say take away. The food is true southern cooking fantastic. They do give samples of the cracklins chicken and pork. You will get both they are so good.

Sadly, Google tracked me as being at Quebedeax’s – conjoined with the Texaco station that we actually used.

We do not often eat whilst traveling I-49, but this is certainly on my list to try !

As far as getting there, it’s right off the exit. Whether you are headed south or north, it’s easy to get to.

Huge parking lot and fairly clean. Rest parking for bigger vehicles – or even hauling a trailer.

The gas station side is clean, will stocked, and friendly employees.

If you need a snack, they have plenty…. chips, crackers, cookies, sodas of all flavors, power drinks, beer, water, and even slushies.

They have other items you might need for you car and many more items.

The gas pumps even have water buckets and squeegies for your windshield. What a nice surprise to find not just FRESH water but also susdy!!
So many planes just have stale water from what ever rain mighta got in it.

Plus, they had paper towels !! I always clean my windshield when we stop and this was quite nice.
It’s the little things !!

But do stop at Quebedeaux’s whilst you’re there !

The boudin balls are delicious! We got the regular and the one with cheese. Both were full of flavor. The meat pie was good too. The filling was delicious, but the outside part wasn’t freshly fried (still good tho). The chicken cracklins were yummy too.

The price is very cheap and the food comes in huge servings, and is delicious. I could taste the Cajun seasoning.

I’ve seen this place on billboards when driving from Texas to Louisiana, so I’m so glad we got to try it!

The cracklins were good but they literally fried a meat pie in some kinda batter it was hard as a rock. The Boudin wasnt a hit either. I had high hopes that said the customer service was top tier.

Cracklins are all fat, no meat…If you like that sort of thing it may be for you, but I like at least half and half…

Found Quebedeaux’s on TikTok and wanted to try their chicken cracklin which I’ve never heard or tried. The people behind the counter were fun and friendly and reminded me of me in high school with my first summer job.
I ordered the Boudain egg roll- not bad but wouldn’t order again and the infamous chicken cracklin…these are chicken bites. I was thinking it would be like regular cracklin but its chicken! BUT they’re delicious. Still just chicken bites. But hot, fresh, and delicious.
I paid $15.15 for a half pound of chicken (bites) cracklin and 1 egg roll.

There’s no way these reviewers are eating the same food I was served! I was served freshly fried spoiled shrimp’s & catfish! You could smell the ammonia from the food after the heat settled. Someone is going to be critically ill eating from this business, refund was provided immediately staff couldn’t fathom the smell!

Smoked boudin was perfectly seasoned! It took quite a while for lady to come to the front to take our order. But, food made the wait worth it!
