Get there at 4:20 if you want $1 oysters and wings at the bar, which were perfectly prepared. Appetizers were not hot. Shortrib overcooked and lobster oily. It seemed expensive for 4pp with no table cloth, most everything was served in a basket. Good bar service then at table didn’t see the server after entrées.

Solid place to dine. They let us combine reservations to sit with our family. The food was decent, don’t expect lobster to be as good as lobster from Maine. They were very good at getting the kids orders and getting them out ASAP, even when we ordered more for them. It’s a popular spot, so try to leave the stroller home, the spacing isn’t quite wide enough for wider strollers.

There was a storm outside and the restaurant was flooded while we were waiting for our plates. Otherwise the food is good and the seafood is fresh. Thanks to Sydney and the staff who did a great job in the situation. Try the tequila board

Recently visited Quahog’s during our yearly trek to Stone Harbor and were once again delighted and satisfied with the food, cocktails, and ambiance of this establishment. I’m surprised by the 4.1 rating, because Quahog’s always delivers fantastic and fresh seafood in a relaxed environment. It’s not fancy and it’s not trying to be that way. It’s a bit expensive, but honestly, if you’re staying in Stone Harbor you should expect food and drinks to be expensive. In my opinion, the prices are fairly representative of many establishments serving fresh, non-fried, seafood. Good seafood is typically expensive.

Don’t waste your money. Ordered burritos via take out a few months ago & they were dry & the fries that were supposed to have been included were absent. Decided to give another opportunity & decided to try shrimp po-boy. Once I was able to locate the limited amount of shrimp in what was essentially a roll sandwich, that too was dry & very bland. Would have expected better for the price. Now trying to understand how this place stays in business. Mediocrity at its best. Don’t bother.

A must visit if you want fresh and flavorful seafood dishes. We ate dinner for the first time, the overall atmosphere is casual & comfortable, and our server was friendly. The seafood mac and cheese, calamari was a great start. The seafood stew was yummy and a decent amount of seafood options. Crab cake was full of crab meat and right amount of flavors!

Food was very good. Would definitely recommend crab cakes and nachos, old bay fries were great too. Service was slow at points but it was very busy and so I don’t discredit them for that. My only issue was the cleanliness of some of the dishes, cups, and silverware. There were bugs and other small things inside the waters and other drinks we got as well as on the plates and silverware. It was disgusting, but luckily they accommodated and brought us new things.

It was my husband’s birthday and he’d seen Quahogs on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives so we drove 2 ½ hours to try their food. We arrived in time to get a seat at the bar and enjoy a dozen oysters for $12. Our first clue should have been the locals that were there who came for the oysters but were planning to eat dinner SOMEWHERE ELSE! The oysters and the bar were very pleasant. Before making a reservation I called and spoke with Dena, the owner to find out what oil they cooked with. I’m allergic to soy and she assured me that, except for the fryers, they use a blend of canola and olive to cook their food. When we were shown to our table, our server was Andrew. I mentioned my soy allergy to him, and, upon double checking with the kitchen, Andrew told me that Dena had given me the wrong information. All the oil in the restaurant had soy. (Andrew, was a FABULOUS server. Caring, thorough, polite, efficient & intelligent. He deserves a better restaurant to work at…) My husband really wanted to try their signature dish, the moqueca stew. When he asked Andrew about it, he was told that the chef/owner who made it famous was long gone and that the place had new owners; Dena & her husband. But, we were there, so we ordered. BIG MISTAKE. Because of my allergy, I ordered only the steamed mussels and a bowl of chowder. When the chowder arrived, the kitchen had drizzled it with a pool of oil. (Is this a joke?) I sent the soup back and when it returned I ate about ½ of it (it was too salty and had two clam pieces in the whole bowl but I was hungry), until I found a little puddle of oil in it. I can only surmise that when I sent it back, someone in the kitchen stirred the oil in with a spoon and sent it back out. The mussels were another story. How do you screw up steamed mussels? Two ways: by putting NO care into making them so they were utterly tasteless and, even more special, by serving mussels that were brown and shriveled and clearly leftover from the previous day. But it was my husband’s birthday and I hoped his meal would be better. Nope. The smallest shrimp and clams you’ve ever seen in some kind of tasteless white glop with a pile of overcooked rice heaped in the middle. Quahog Seafood Shack? Do what the locals do, have the raw oysters at the bar and EAT ANYWHERE ELSE. And, Dena, I’d doubt you read these because you don’t care enough, but if you are… Yes, I did get sick. Because you don’t care about what you’re serving and your kitchen appears to care even less.

Went here for dinner. Looks rundown from the outside, but I think that is just a “look” they are portraying, inside is fine. Wait staff is attentive. We ate in the outside area which is very noisy though. There is an inside area that appears much more quiet. Two in our party had the short rib tacos which were reported as good. One had a scallop special that was kind of average – only 5 small scallops for $36 and way too heavy on the garlic. So all in all, we would call it OK, not great.
