We had a busy day at Hampton with the kids. After being on the beach for hours we tried this place out. We got right in even though it was one of the busiest days at the beach I had ever seen. We sat down on the massive deck with great views of the water. Our server jack was very friendly but a bit slow. I don’t blame him for being swamped. The drinks were strong and the food was very good. The price was quite high but again. We are at the beach. Definitely check it out if you go to Hampton.

Anything here that isn’t seafood is underwhelming and anything that is seafood is just okay. The cheese on the nachos is extremely runny and so watered down it tastes like nothing. The alfredo portion is laughable for $22 dollars, and the whole belly fried clams had sand and hard bits that hurt my teeth (almost like parts of shell got in the batter). The lobster roll is decent, along with the fries and drinks. Overall not the best place for the price and quality.

Waitress was delightfully wonderful, filled with a wonderful personality along with being on her game with all her tables as I observed.We spent had only waters but I had Mussels in white wine they had small sautéed onions in it gave the broth allot of flavor. Each mussel was mighty delish and I found myself not wanting to share ha ha . My two relatives shared a chicken wrap that was supposed to mozzarella cheese, tomato and few things in it was more filled with simply lettuce. We got out bubbly waitress she brought over a side plate of all the toppings that should of been in the wrap and my relate made the wrap over . All for all nice place atmosphere is amazing , views of the shell band stand music , ocean buzzes , live music . Perfect little place on Hampton Beach .

Ordered $32 “ship of fools” fried seafood platter, which on the menu states Haddock, Clams, Scallops and Shrimp. I asked about the clams, said whole belly which I’m not a fan of so asked to sub for a few extra shrimp. Meal came, with fried calamari, which is fine if they subbed for clams but ZERO Scallops…. wife ordered glueten free ravioli which should have had chicken and spinach yet contained no chicken… drinks were also on the weak side, definitely tasted watered down. Server was friendly, view was ok as location is good. Overall like a 2.5 but gave a 3 because of server and the flavor was good of what we were served but just wished we received what we ordered instead of what we received..

We tried this place on our first day of vacation here in Hampton. You get a nice view of the beach as well as the bandshell down there. Food and drinks were very good but our server, a kind Asian girl, was a bit slow. It seemed like whenever we tried to get her attention it was like she was ignoring us. As well as some other patrons as well. I can only give it a four cause the food redeems itself. I recommend their fried pickles and cold lobster roll, if you like seafood of course.

Food was good, quite pricy since it is seafood and the restaurant is located at the center. Nice view by the window and chill atmosphere. The cocktails tasted average but were $12, somewhat more than expected. Photos are Lobster mac and cheese which came with a nice portion of lobster, and the scallops plating was pretty. The appetizer was bang bang shrimp and maybe it was because we had a flavorful appetizer at the start, the entrees tasted quite bland. Overall, nice restaurant to go to if thinking of a beach date.

The Purple Urchin is the place to be! Excellent food, excellent service, and an excellent atmosphere. I was served by Zoe, and she went above and beyond to make sure that me and my party of 12 was perfectly taken care of. Would definitely recommend The Purple Urchin to anyone spending a weekend in town, or looking to grab a bite to eat or drink for the night.

Ainslee was super nice and was quick to order my drinks and meal. The service was top notch and made me feel like I was in beach paradise. She was exceptional and will continue to come back due to her incredible service. Also Michelle assisted and was a joy to be around!
