Amazing food at the Purple Goat and everything is made in house. My party ordered 3 appetizers and I was surprised at how quickly they were devoured. I typically don’t eat cheese curds, but these were amazing. First time I’ve heard of jalapeno popper egg rolls and they did not disappoint. I ordered the salmon which was extremely moist and flavorful. Everyone enjoyed their entree and completely cleaned their plates. Mel, our server, took excellent care of us and made sure our drinks were never empty. Very cool atmosphere and extremely clean. I highly recommend the Purple Goat and am really looking forward to our next visit.

This place isn’t really anything special. We’ve tried this place multiple times and the food was mediocre at best – nothing particularly “chef-inspired” about the menu. I will say the cheese curds were great, but our entrees weren’t worth writing home about. My chicken sandwich was just okay, and my husband’s prime rib sandwich surprisingly had too many competing flavors and led to just an overall chaotic taste. I genuinely don’t understand why this spot is so highly rated. Service was good. Atmosphere was nothing groundbreaking.

Got the elote corn steak tacos and they were very good. Taco was stuffed so two were more than enough. Flavor excellent. Service was quick and bartender kept the bar area clean while not serving. Ambiance was great. Recommend trying it out if you are in the area.

Stopped here for an appetizer and it did not disappoint! We split the nachos (fair warning—they have a bit of a kick!) and would love to come back to try some of their other menu options—they had a great variety. We sat at the bar, and the service was quick and friendly. They also looked like they had great outdoor seating available.

Wife and I ordered the new “smash” burgers. I got the onion one and she had the Sacramento one. These are not smash burgers. The patties are not smashed in the slightest and these burgers have no business being called smash burgers. They were delicious though. I was not disappointed at all in the quality or flavor of my food. But I would have rather had what I ordered. I would suggest that they remove the word smash from the menu until the chef learns how to make them correctly. Again, the food was very tasty. No issues there. UPDATE: Went back for Halloween, got the same burger. Still delicious, still a great place to bring kids and family.

Love Purple Goat! It’s a top spot for my boyfriend and I to grab a drink in town. We can carry on a conversation without feeling like we’re shouting over other people and like the menu variations and specials that get featured.
We’ve been waited on by Kylie multiple times and we’re ALWAYS happy to see her working. She is prompt and makes great conversation.

My new favorite restaurant. Too bad it’s in Rochester, MN (1.5 hours away). Been here twice within 2 weeks though! Food is top tier. Ambiance is cozy/sporty. Service is friendly. Highly recommend the Purple Goat burgers or try something unique from their seasonal menu. Fresh and tasty! Yum! Oh…this trip I also got a piece of cheesecake for my birthday. Double-yum!!

Food was spectacular! Gluten and Dairy Free. Had an amazing Sacramento Smash with Fries ❤️ On Gluten-Free Bun and no cheese. Delicious Only took them 20 minutes. Fries came in a good quantity and were nice and crisp. Front check in lady was easy to talk to about Gluten and Dairy Free meals but gave off the vibe she didnt care to be there and didnt seem happy to be there.. Didnt smile once. My wife, daughter, and myself stopped for a late lunch. I had the double smash burger “onion something” it was very good. My daughter inhaled the chicken sandwich and said it was awesome!
