Excellent on everything! If you buy 3 tacos, it’s only $12.50. Who does that these days?!?! And the quality was superb too. The seafood was fresh and the meat was deliciously marinated. We ordered a bunch: banh mi, poke, spicy shrimp, crispy shrimp, gangnam. The best part was the spicy salsa (I think it could be too spicy for most western people). Tortilla chips were yum too. Portion was perfect for the price. Service was friendly and quick. Would definitely come back! Heard that this is the best taco in town and we didn’t disagree.

You have to try this place! Doesn’t look like much, but the food is amazing! Good variety of tacos, plenty of other options if you don’t like tacos…….but who doesn’t like tacos??? Food comes out pretty quick, plenty of outdoor seating. Maybe hit a few balls at the batting cages while you’re there!

Good tacos!! They had a lot of options to choose from, and we tried the steak, shrimp, and chicken. They were all tasty and the service was great! No complaints here.

We stopped by East Beach Tacos in Santa Barbara on Father’s Day with our little family, and it was such a great experience! We got lucky with parking. The lot is on the smaller side but we managed to find a spot without too much trouble. While we waited for a table to open up, my husband got in line to order, so the timing worked out well.

Prices were super reasonable, especially for a beachside spot. I had the taquitos and my husband got two tacos and a soda. I don’t remember the exact total, but it felt very affordable. The food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh and flavorful.

There was plenty of seating at the outdoor picnic tables, even for larger groups, and since it’s all outdoors, it seems like a dog-friendly place too. The relaxed vibe makes it a great casual stop, but l wouldn’t recommend coming if you’re on a tight schedule. It’s definitely better to go when you can take your time and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.

Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Overrated is how I felt about East Beach Tacos as I worked my way through the Triple Play basket of tacos. To be fair, they were all prepared well and tasted good, but they didn’t deliver that hmmm these are great tacos feeling. The service was efficient and quick given the number of tacos they cranked out. There were plenty of tables and you can hit the batting cages afterwards to work off some of the calories.

Absolutely phenomenal place

Traveled to California last summer with my family and stopped at Santa Barbara for the day. We decided ti stop for some tacos in the area. So glad we found this place.

East Beach tacos is definitely one of our highlights of our trip, it had a unique and friendly atmosphere, the food was quick and amazing, perhaps some of the most authentic and delicious tacos I’ve had. The location isn’t too far either from most of the attractions in Santa Barbara either. Overall, this is definitely a place traveller’s must visit to enrich their experience in Santa Barbara

Amazing!!! The best tacos I’ve had in years and I’m in LA and OC where there’s a great food scene there. My favorite are the Gangnam style tacos . Perfectly marinated with a little kick of tangy spice. So good, that we ordered each of us another order of Triple Play. The salsa is also great, definitely a good level of spice if you love heat.

Thank you for your hospitality!!! So friendly service and I love that when I went to compliment them while reordering another round of food, the cashier said, “I know!!!” Highly recommend. This place made our trip to SB so good!!! What’s up with these 4 star reviews?! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars all the way from me and my family!!!!

Great seafood tacos and fish and chips close to the beach! The line was very long and the parking situation was a little difficult but it was worth the wait on a Sunday afternoon and did move quickly. We got the fish and chips and triple play to-go, they came with house-made tortilla chips and a spicy sauce; the fish and chips came with delicious tartar sauce and coleslaw. The portions were perfect. We will definitely stop by again when in the area!

Disappointing Experience at East Beach Tacos

I don’t understand the hype around this place. East Beach Tacos is severely overrated. The location itself is inconvenient, with a small parking lot shared with a batting cage, which made finding a spot frustrating.

We specifically stopped here on our way home to try shrimp tacos, since we missed out on them during our visit to Morro Bay. Santa Barbara seemed like a good bet for great tacos, and with all the high ratings, we had high expectations. Unfortunately, this place was a huge letdown.

First, the place was super busy, which we wouldn’t have minded if their system was efficient. But it wasn’t. Orders were being prepared and left sitting in the pickup window while the cashier (and only the cashier) called out names. Why not have the person putting out the food use the microphone to speed things up? The result: food sitting out and getting cold while we waited unnecessarily.

When we finally got our food, the shrimp tacos were incredibly disappointing. The shrimp were tiny, and there weren’t enough of them in each taco. While the vegetables were fresh, the tacos felt bare and underwhelming. The carne asada taco was okay—better than the shrimp—but still not amazing. Even the chips were mediocre.

Overall, the experience wasn’t worth the 40-minute delay in our trip home. We should’ve skipped this place altogether and stuck with our local spot, Fish Taco Express, which serves way better shrimp tacos.

I can’t recommend East Beach Tacos at all. Overrated, inefficient, and disappointing food. Save your time and money and go somewhere else!
