I went there for brunch with my mum. We dropped in without a booking after driving by and were seated quickly. The food was really nice, but it did take a little while to arrive.
Puffin & Oyster is a pretty seaside pub with a nice view and outdoor seating. Nice atmosphere for casual dining. I would return if I’m back in Guernsey

Been there twice in the evening. Staff ist very friendly with excellent service. We got tables without reservation. The food was very tasty and we really enjoyed our meals. We also loved to bring our dog and felt very welcome with him. There are bowls and water available for the dog.

We had the pleasure of dining here for our wedding anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely wonderful—each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in their work.
The staff were incredibly attentive without being intrusive. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. What made the evening even more special were the thoughtful complimentary extras they surprised us with in celebration of our 10 year wedding anniversary—an unexpected and heartwarming touch. Special thanks to the Restaurant Manager Lizzie.
We sat out on the terrace, which offers a stunning view that perfectly complemented the meal. The combination of excellent food, attentive service from all the staff, and a beautiful setting made for a truly memorable evening.

Me and my brother come across this place while on holidays.We come here on two nights. Both nights we had sirloin steaks both served with garlic butter, peppercorn sauce fat chips tomatoes, and mushrooms. The second night we had a starter which was a seafood sharing platter which consisted of calamari salmon crab mackerel tartare sauce, toast. The food was excellent The service was excellent and you could see your food being cooked with an open kitchen. Both nights were very busy but there was plenty of staff and no waiting.. There is beautiful views of the bay. Also outside eating plenty of parking. Also dog friendly as people was eating in the pub with the dogs. Also water jugs are brought to your table. A 10% service charge is added to your bill but well worth every penny

Lovely restaurant in a great setting. The food is nice, although portions can be a little small. The service is what lets the restaurant down, waiting 45 minutes for mains after ordering, and then another hour for dessert in a half empty restaurant becomes a bit ridiculous. Especially when dessert is obviously pre-prepared, so no reason that it should take that long. 3 hours total for a dinner for 2 on a weekday evening is just too long.

We came to dinner and stumbled across Messy Minds. A wonderful idea whereby the children get to create arts and have dinner all for a fixed price. This meant the children were entertained, the parents could interact with the activity whilst feeling relaxed. I would love to see more of this activity.

Lovely food and staff. One comment though, as I am gluten free I could not have Yorkshire pudding or stuffing. Nothing else was offered and the price was the same for a gluten free roast and a none gluten free roast, even though it has less on the plate. However the food was lovely!

I have been visiting Puffin & Oyster quite frequently recently and have really enjoyed the various meals I have selected. From fabulous steak, to ribs (having received an Indulgence Card discount of 25% on food on a Wednesday), and this Sunday, my friend and I shared the Roast Sharing Board, with 3 types of meat and bottomless veg and gravy. All very delicious!
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and I’m delighted to be able to take my Frenchie with me to this dog-friendly restaurant. Plenty of parking and the view is, of course, gorgeous! ☀️

Lovely location right by the sea with great views, especially at sunset. The seafood dishes were the highlight and staff were friendly, though service was a bit slow when busy. Overall, a relaxed spot worth visiting if you’re in Guernsey
