Great food and excellent service! The interior was beautifully decorated, with a small fountain, traditional Mexican pottery, and with gorgeous leather chairs that were reminiscent of something you’d find in a study in a Mexican ranch in the late 1890s. Super clean and spotless! Very authentic in decor and flavor! The service was just absolute amazing!
We’re from out of town, and it was our first time there. The waiter actually came by to let us know that the kitchen was a bit behind schedule, and updated us on when the food would be coming out. He did this without us even complaining or asking (we were all having a great time catching up with an old family friend for his birthday), we’d honestly lost track of time in conversation. We all appreciated the waiter’s transparency with the food delay. But it doesn’t stop there: our waiter, once he heard that it was our friend’s birthday, he sent the table a round of shots, and overall, just went completely above and beyond to make sure that we felt welcome and that we had a great time! We live over an hour and a half away, but I’m planning on making the drive again, later this summer with my family!

The service was impeccable, we were offered complimentary margarita shots and tamales before we even ordered our lunch! The food was very authentic, the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Will definitely be returning!

I happen to be in Joliet visiting relatives and we were recommended puerto Escondido Very great atmosphere terrific food very Mexican authentic, a great bar set up. Definitely a place to try out if you ever in joliet .. Highly recommend
