Happy to try this little neighborhood gem in NE. Highly recommend getting the chicken lollipops; the sweet chili sauce perfectly coated the crunchy fried exterior without making them soggy. The cocktails were good, I recommend getting the rum punch because it’s so pretty! The fried snapper was delicious and surprisingly could be finished by one person. The coconut rice was good, but wished it had a more prominent coconut flavor. Also got a side of the fried cabbage which I normally love, but this flavor was reminiscent of the scent of a butcher shop. The garlic spinach was savory although a touch salty. I liked their take on the cordon bleu, which comes with a different sauce but pairs nicely with it nonetheless. The portions are huge, so if you get dessert afterwards it’s probably best to share it. The restaurant was very warm and we left with a couple mosquito bites, and maybe the music was a little loud (but still good music), but overall the atmosphere was nice. I want to come back and try their brunch.

This was my first time visiting Provost for brunch and it will not be my last. Great atmosphere. From the hospitality given from the owner and the staff, everything was amazing. The food was good and if you love Chicken and Waffles do not hesitate to place this order during your visit. This DC brunch experience was a 10/10.

Sunday July 23rd was my first time, and definitely NOT my last. The whole vibe is definitely cool. The drinks, DJ, rooftop, food, friendliness of the staff and it’s black ownership has made me an immediate fan and supporter! In fact, I’m considering having my birthday set here in October. Check this place out. You won’t regret it.

The food was great and the service was professional. The atmosphere was ok. The facility is small with a rooftop area. We ate on the rooftop. They had heaters and all out there, but it was not really aesthetically pleasing. All in all it was good.

Beautiful chill atmosphere. Lovely roof top patio. Bathroom was huge and clean ++. Old building with bare brick wall, nice. Only draw back was I didn’t see that it was not hc accessible. Other than that it was great.

Came in for brunch to this cool little neighborhood spot. While the food was excellent, the service lacked significantly. The check includes an automatic gratuity which isn’t helpful considering the poor service. The waitress didn’t introduce herself nor was she the least bit friendly or helpful. I’d be back for bar seating and the food.
