This place, food wise, is reminiscent of an Applebees, maybe “slightly” less mediocre.
Maybe.
Price wise…insanely overpriced. $18 for a burger of the quality served is insane. The fries were bland and tasted like the frozen store-brand fries from Harris Teeter.
The flatbread, also insanely overpriced, was mid at best.
The nachos, also overpriced, were the quality of a Nacho Bell Grande from Taco Bell, down to the questionable “cheddar cheese”.
The waiter was OK, I guess.
I was also disappointed that of the 15ish or more brews on tap, the only stout offered was Guinness.

Overall, the place was disappointing. Likely will not return.

Not impressed at all. I will say our server did just fine. The food was decent and the beer was good too. However, if you go here, check the menu prices carefully and ask for an itemized printout of your bill before you pay. They did us pretty dirty by giving us menus with cheaper prices on literally every single item we ordered to include our beers. But when we paid we were very surprised at how the bill was. We asked for the menus again to check prices and the menus they gave us were different from the ones we had first at the table but they the prices were still wrong. The manager came to our table and said they would honor the prices on the menu they gave us the 2nd time, but these were higher than what we saw on the first menu. The excuse was they had to change the prices because of higher costs and they have too many menus to change so some of them haven’t been changed. We were charged an additional $1 for each beer ordered, both burgers were $3-4 more, the sweet potato fries were $1 more, and the additional fried egg we asked for on one burger (overcooked…) was also $1 ($3.99!? For 1 egg???). Overpriced and not happy with the crooked menu swap tactics used to screw customers. Many other options in Ashburn and we will be entertaining those other options.

Potomac Tahoe is pretty average overall. I stopped in and ordered the burger, which was average at best—nothing special, just your basic burger that gets the job done but doesn’t stand out in any way.
On the positive side, I didn’t have to wait at all for seating, and the service was decent enough—friendly but nothing over-the-top.
It’s not a place I’d go out of my way for, but if you’re looking for a quick bite and a beer without any fuss, it’ll do the trick. Solid for a casual, no-frills stop.
Would probably return if I’m in the area and need something easy, but I wouldn’t call it a destination spot.

Nice little place. The food was good and so was the service. I was here on a Sunday afternoon and there was only one other group sitting at a table. They have a lot of beers on tap and a lot of mix drink specials. If you find yourself in the area, it is good for a quick bite.

If you find yourself hungry and in the area (although I would argue it’s worth the drive for the wings!) stop here. My wife and I went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of seating. The dining area and bar are the same area and there was a lot of space between the tables. I saw at least 4 good size tv’s. I would rarely say this but I would love to be here when it’s busy, I bet it has a great energy! We had Pretzel bites and Naked wings as an appetizer. The pretzel bites was a shareable portion. They were well cooked and the mustard was really nice. The wings, oh my, the wings! They cook them 3 ways and they were about as close to perfect as I could imagine. They were big, juicy and the grilled finish was so nice. I would make the trip from Frederick for these alone. I had their basic 1/2 lb burger with lettuce and pickles. They use a really nice toasted brioche roll. I had tater tots as my side. The burger was well done(as requested) but still very juicy. The pickles were really tangy! My wife had the bruschetta burger but filled up on apps and her sweet potato fries. I will say it looked really good, with oozing cheese and you could smell the pesto. She had a pomegranate cider and wished we stayed longer to try more drinks. She enjoyed the cider. This place says they scratch make everything and the quality was indicative of that. Definitely give this place a try! I highly recommend it!

The food was great as well as the atmosphere. I got the big Mac n cheese which was excellent. Our server was as sweet as can be. The place was busy but not overcrowded at all. It was our first time here but we’ll definitely come back.

I recently enjoyed dining at Potomac Taphouse, and the experience was fantastic. The unique blend of Mediterranean flavors infused into classic cocktails and appetizers made it a culinary journey that was both delightful and memorable.

One standout feature of Potomac Taphouse is the exceptional customer service provided by the Amir and Mychaelah. Their genuine enthusiasm and attentiveness created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making the dining experience enjoyable.

Now, let’s talk about the culinary highlights. The Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings are a culinary masterpiece, offering a delightful fusion of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with each bite. It’s a must-try for anyone who appreciates bold and savory dishes.

Additionally, the Smoked Old Fashioned cocktail at Potomac Taphouse was crafted perfectly with wood from Lebanon. It blends old-fashioned elegance with a modern twist, satisfying even the most discerning cocktail connoisseur. It’s a nostalgic journey in a glass that adds to the overall charm of the establishment.

Potomac Taphouse offers a remarkable dining experience where attentive service and an inventive menu come together seamlessly. This place is a gem for those seeking a touch of the Mediterranean paired with the charm of expertly crafted old-fashioned cocktails.

Highly recommended!

Cons-
-The kids wanted Mac and cheese and it tasted rancid. All us adults tasted it to make sure the kids weren’t being dramatic(they did switch it out thankfully)
-We watch a serve wipe a glass with a towel drop it then continue to clean with it.
-Ordered the crab cakes and I didn’t feel like they were worth the money you got two pretty small ones and for the price I would expect a little more.
-They asked if we wanted soda refills and charged us for a refill without being told.
-20% gratuity for our party of four adults and two kids, which is OK but they should let you know that because they don’t print out your receipt. They just hand you the thing with the total so we had no clue about the 20% until we got our receipt texted to us after we paid which already included the tip we added.
Pros-
-All our steaks were cooked perfectly.
-The server was very kind and attentive
-Plenty of room for a big party
-Lots of food variety

I wanted to give more then 1 star but unfortunately, as a cook myself, serving a child that is never okay.

First time here. Beer selection is impressive. Food is a bit pricey, but tastes good. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Music is a bit loud, but still a fun spot for weekend hangouts.
