My family and I love eating at Floyd’s when we’re in the mood for seafood and don’t want to drive into Houston. I’m a big fan of the seafood courtboullion, bar trash (mixed seafood appetizer)and fish tacos. Their carrot cake is as good as your going to get so don’t forget to order some for dessert or to take it home for later. The atmosphere is beautifully done. I enjoy sitting in the bar area when a game is on. Overall I think this place gets overlooked. If you live in the area give Floyd’s a try and if you’ve tried in the past and haven’t been in a while try them again. This is a great place to have a meal and deserves the communitys support.

Best 40th birthday dinner experience ever!! The manager Joshua was so amazing and making sure everything was perfect and satisfied at our table. He customized plates for my little one’s satisfaction! This is my second visit to Floyd’s. First visit was really good. Second time not as much. I decided to try something different today and totally regret it. Their seafood is really awesome. The chicken fried steak not so much. I wouldn’t recommend it. The steak was really thin and tasted of a cheap quality meat not to mention the batter was really salty and flaked off very easily. The mixed drinks are always very good here. Ask for Jackson. Really cool guy and excellent server.

On yesterday evening, my husband and I drove from Lake Charles Louisiana on a 5 day vacation and decided that we would eat dinner at Floyds, we passed by the one in Beaumont because we wanted to experience the one in Baytown, which turned out to be a huge mistake. We live in LaMarque Tx, so we have regularly eaten for the past 20 years at the Floyds in League City, the food, service and atmosphere is always great. The oysters Floyds are served in a creamy white cheese sauce with a whole shrimp on each oysters Floyds along with lots of fresh crab meat.
I ordered the Oysters Floyds in Baytown last night only to be surprised that they had chopped up the shrimp into mini micro pieces and drizzled it on all 12 oysters, flavored tiny pieces of crab with just butter sauce, just horrible. I also ordered some crab fingers, they were so dry and hard, I had to send them back,,, I pulled back the fried corn meal from the crab fingers only to see crab meat that was dark brown and dried out.
The manager was polite, she reminded me that they are Independently Owned with The Floyds name. I let her know that I was a regular customer at Floyds in League City for over 20 years and how they prepared each oyster with a whole shrimp on each oysters, her response was that they all share the same preparation, I totally disagree !!!!
She discounted our meal by $10,…I gave that $10 back to the waiter, even those she didn’t deserve it…because we walked in at 7pm and I asked for some fresh hot coffee only to be told that they weren’t making anymore coffee because they were closing at 9pm,,,, I started to grab my purse and tell my husband let’s just eat dinner somewhere else but I decided to just drink “room temperature water” with my meal.. I will never recommend or visit this Floyds location again….

We recently dined at Floyd’s and had a fantastic experience. From the cozy atmosphere to the friendly and attentive staff, everything made us feel welcome right from the start.
The food was outstanding, starting with the fried pickles a light, crispy treat with a nice tang. The cocktails were well-crafted and paired perfectly with our meal. The bar trash grilled cheese sandwich was a unique spin on a classic, packed with flavor and hearty enough to satisfy.
The highlight of our meal was the seafood cauldron with dirty rice. The seafood was fresh and cooked just right, and the rice had a perfect blend of spices that complemented the dish. We wrapped up our meal with Mima’s homemade bread pudding for dessert, which was warm, comforting, and just sweet enough.
Overall, Floyd’s really knows how to deliver on both flavor and experience. The food was prepared perfectly, the service was spot-on, and the atmosphere made for a relaxed, enjoyable evening. A solid five-star experience we’ll definitely be back!

Admittedly I’ve been 2 times before and was not impressed. Looks like the third times a charm. My latest experience was EXCELLENT!. Staff was kind and prompt. Food was seasoned well and food was provided in good portions. Keep an open mind and give it a go.

Not inexpensive. Though the food and service are excellent. However, The Boy & I were shocked that neither the server nor the walkin’ about manager knew what soft shell crab was (after all the Floys on I45 in Webster serves some of the best soft shell crab ya can buy here in Clear Lake).
