The past 3 times I tried to eat there, they have been CLOSED when their hours online said they should have been open and all the other food carts were open. Last time I was there, they looked open, their window was open, and there was a sign on the counter saying “Be Back Soon” so we waited for over half an hour outside in the freezing cold and no one came back! It’s so weird they just left their cart open and abandoned like that. I took a photo and will never go back.

Was in the mood to try something new, we made our way to the cartopia food cart village. We saw this food truck and we’re excited to try there poutine fries! As they are one of my favorites. The lady working was not very chipper; idk but, she looked hungover or something. Clearly didn’t want to be there for sure. As she literally plopped our order down on the small metal rack, we had to remind her it was a to go order. She seemed very irritated. Anyways… The fries were soggy, the cheese curds weren’t melted, and the gravy was definitely powdered gravy with garlic salt in it. VERY salty. All in all, underwhelmed. Hard pass on trying again. P. S. This is all we ate of them, made our stomach hurt.

We read about Potato Champion in Lonely Planet and as we love poutine we had to stop in. Parking isn’t great. The poutine was underwhelming- curds were not melted at all and the gravy was very sweet, unlike any poutine we’ve had throughout Canada and the upper Midwest. We wouldn’t recommend.

Got the Palak Paneer fries and they did not disappoint! The fries were really well done, the paneer was super soft and tasty, and the gravy was spot on. I wish it would’ve been a bit spicier, but nevertheless they were very flavorful and delicious. A very innovative idea, well executed. Definitely going to try the other options next time!

As someone with celiac I really appreciate a dedicated gluten free kitchen. However, the options here are underwhelming. Got the pulled pork fries, which are just fries, pulled pork, and a sauce. Would be much better if there were more ingredients for a little more flavor, and honestly I would hope for a little more for $15

Went there yesterday a young man and woman were working. I ordered the regular poutine and when I opened it up the fries were green. I asked them if it was normal for them to serve green fries. They stated that the potatoes were over ripe… I used to be a produce manager and we would throw the green potatoes away because they are bitter and produce a toxin. Potatoes don’t ripen. They are harvested to eat. They replaced my order with more green fries after telling me they were “over ripe” and “oxidized”. I was also a prep for cut fruits and veggies. Potatoes turn grey when oxidized not green… very disappointed with my experience, had to throw it away and I hate wasting my food.

Got the satay poutine but was disappointed when I thought I had accidentally ordered one without curds. This was rectified quickly and they made me a replacement with the classic poutine. Both were solid, but I was hungry and love fries, cheese, peanut butter, and gravy.

We ordered some for delivery over the weekend, and we’re not impressed with how many fries you get and the quality of the fries. I liked the sauces, a⅙nd the husband did not. The fries were not as crispy as I liked them. We will probably not order from there again. The owner responded to my review, saying that they are not chain, blahblah, and my expectations should be different.. We do not ever eat at chain restaurants.

Always love coming here. The fries are gluten free as they are fresh and they don’t fry anything else in the fryer. We get the regular fries and the poutine every time. They have a good amount of sauces to choose from but we usually get the rosemary truffle ketchup and frittesaus. This pod has a good amount of benches under a big shade and fire pits to keep you warm. You can also get other complimentary food at the carts here.

Poutine was definitely subpar. Anyone who is rating this above 3 stars probably hasn’t had good poutine before. Wish I had tried one of the other stalls. I shouldv listened to the previois 2 star reviews before me, unfortunately I didn’t check them beforehand. I ended up throwing half of the meal away it was so disappointing.
