Spacious, villalike eatery with wood-beamed ceilings & a bar, serving Italian cuisine & sushi.

This place is unbelievably inconsistent, and unfortunately dinner service is where it completely falls apart.
We were seated upstairs on a night when the restaurant was practically empty — only two other tables up there — yet service was painfully slow and chaotic. One server was running all over the place, and when we tried to order, we were told that because they were so busy, we needed to order our appetizer and entrées at the same time. That made absolutely no sense given how empty the dining room was. This isn’t the first time my husband and I have received horrible dinner service either.
The food was just as bad. The espresso martini was undrinkable — it tasted like a plain cup of coffee with zero balance. My husband’s Italian mule tasted like it had been drowned in straight vodka. I ordered surf and turf and the lobster was rubbery, chewy, flavorless, and honestly inedible. The filet mignon was somehow worse — covered in fat, no seasoning, no flavor, and easily the worst filet I’ve ever had. I’ve never had a filet mignon with that much fat! I ended up taking it home and giving it to my dogs.
What makes this even more disappointing is that I previously had my bridal shower here and the catering and service were great. That experience is the only reason I’m shocked at how awful dinner service is. If you’re considering this place for a private event, fine — but for dinner? Absolutely not. Bad service and even worse food food.

I ordered the blackened salmon with salad, and my girlfriend had the swordfish which had a sauce made with diced eggplant, peppers, and mushrooms. It was delicious. I enjoyed my salmon as well. This is not a BYOB restaurant, we did sit in the bar area bs the other side which has a better atmosphere The only reason for the three stars is that I feel like the bar area table set up and area its self could be prettier. 16-18 dollar for meal (lunch prices).

Portobello impresses with the beauty of the Italian house, authentic interior, beautiful details such as chandeliers, lamps, spiral staircase, sink in the toilet and much more. Everything is very stylish and antique. There is a summer veranda with many tables. Huge private parking. The cuisine was also impressive, I recommend the delicious ravioli with lobster in a delicate pink sauce and ravioli with mushrooms and prosciutto, it is very tasty. Also a magnificent salad with tomatoes and cucumbers, delicious swordfish, fried crispy squid with warm tomato sauce were great. Insanely delicious desserts and coffee impressed us. The service here is top notch and professional, Momir who served us is the best in his profession, whom we have ever met. I definitely recommend visiting this place.

Food was good but seemed expensive for what we got. My entree was fettuccine with shrimp, scallops and lobster. I asked if they were the large scallops, as I don’t care for the small scallops, and the server said yes, indicating a large size. Well, they may have taken one large scallop and a very sharp knife, and sliced dime-thin pieces out of half of it. The flavor and unique texture were lost. With tip I ended up spending $50, leaving with the thought I could make the dish better myself with ingredients from Trader Joe’s.

We had a huge party of 50 people and Portobello served us the most requisite meal. The staff makes it all look easy and are incredibly cordial and willing to please. Food, service, ambiance all tops!!

We were there last night for Valentine’s dinner and the food was good, we order a bottle wine(J Lohr) it took at least hour the have it at the table the waiter comes 2 times to ask the name the wine, we were almost done with the appetizer when they serve the wine. The dancing floor was full with tables if they do not want people dance remove dance floor. I never was fan of Portobello, now I will not go back there again. also we do reservation to chose where we want to seat looks like there you can not chose to seat where you want finally they got our table at the bar like we want. Terrible

Had my engagement party here and it was the best decision ever. Not only is the location stunning but the food was absolutely amazing. Marcello was such an amazing help with everything from getting us booked to making sure everything ran smoothly during our event. All of our guests were blown away and loved everything. The night was perfect, so beyond grateful for the Portobello’s staff. Highly recommend!

Attending my good friend’s baby shower at this restaurant was a delightful experience. Everything was beautifully organized, and it’s no surprise since it was my fourth visit here. This place never fails to impress, consistently offering unique experiences. The food was, as always, delicious, and it’s safe to say that this restaurant continues to be a favorite for special occasions. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable dining experience!
