This place is a great budget lunch/dinner place. You get really nice pizza slices and salad by weight. It also has great options for soup which can be taken with bread for free. If you visit this place a lot, make sure you take the CARD which gives you 6usd discount for every 6th Visit

I got the 1/2 chicken w/vegetables and rice. The vegetables were overcooked, the rice was delicious and the chicken was just ok. If you’re starving it’s good but I wouldn’t order it for anything else. There’s a huge salad bar and a hot line. Lots of table space. Right now there’s a lot of construction so look out for the scaffolding because the restaurant is hidden under it. The staff was friendly.

I miss this place. Excellent quality food at reasonable price. The variety of hot salads was the best part for me.

Best quick pizza and spaghetti. Turkey and chicken also excellent. Free bread with purchase is awesome. Serving portions are definitely proportional to price. Stamp card program and app based loyalty perks are great. Staff is friendly. Been around financial district for a while for good reason. I hope they can continue to stay.

I wanted to write a yelp review for this location but cannot find them there. I just love this place for lunch – always so good, fresh, tasty!! And reasonable (considering all of the other lunch spots around the East Cut have gotten WAY too expensive). I love the pizza & soup combo or pizza & salad combo the best. Best tasting soups around work and the caesar salad is the best! Their salad bar has a ton of options also, but since pay by the weight, it is a more pricey lunch. I love Portico on Beale and the one on Mission & 1st, but Beale is closest to my work.

Good buffet selection of food, including salads. Place gets very busy from 12 to 1230pm. Great place for a quick bite. They offer freshly made soups, pizza, and chicken. Large seating area. Some dishes always seem to be too salty for my taste. Food is discounted after 2pm but selection is very limited at that time.

When you think about it, pasta is such a simple dish. I usually don’t care to eat pasta out of the house since it is so easy to make but Portico Restaurant makes me take it all back. The pasta is soooo fresh, al dente, and cooked perfectly. The sauces are all amazing too. Bolognese is my favorite in addition to the pesto gnocchi and pomodoro

Lot of options if one is looking for an Italian meal, including Pizzas by the slice. I tried the minestrone soup which comes with unlimited amount of bread! Little more pasta elements in it than I would have liked for a soup, but overall it tasted fine. This place is worth a try!

Great California Style Pizza. Salad and Hot food by the lb. Whether you’re a carnivore, vegetarian, vegan and/or gluten free, there is something for you on the menu. Good place to take a team where different people have different food constraints.
