Chicken always looks and tastes dry or it is leftovers or something. It never really looks golden brown. Lady manager is very unfriendly and not customer service oriented. It is so bad I would rather go across town to get Popeyes. The pics don’t do it justice in what I’m talking about

“A 45-Minute Pilgrimage for… Dry Fries and No Sauce.”
I swung by Popeyes after work, ready to treat myself to two glorious chicken sandwiches (one with extra pickles, because I’m fancy like that), a biscuit, a large fry, a Dr Pepper, and most importantly: four blackened ranches.
Well, the sandwiches made it home. The sauces? Absolutely not.
I didn’t realize the blackened ranches were missing until I was already home 45 minutes away, which is roughly the same distance as the sun is from Pluto in “fast food effort” terms.
I called the store. No answer.
I called again. Someone finally picked up and not just anyone; the exact person who took my order. He remembered everything, including my extra pickles. (But apparently not the sauces.)
He offered me three solutions:
1. Drive 45 minutes back for my ranch
2. Drive 45 minutes back for a refund
3. Drive 45 minutes back another day for free ranch
(Notice the theme?)
He then put me on hold to grab a notebook, presumably to write an epic saga about “The Customer Who Wanted Sauce.” I waited 10 minutes… and the call just hung up.
At this point, the fries had dried out like they’d been left on the dashboard of a Florida car in July. We ended up throwing out half the container, which felt illegal. The chicken sandwich tasted a little old, the edges stale, and even the pickles were crunchy in a way that pickles shouldn’t be. Maybe the experience soured the food… or maybe the food was actually just having a bad day too.

Let me start by saying I have visited many Popeye restaurants throughout my life and as this location is the closest to my house, you would think this is where I would go the most. WRONG!!! Every single time I’ve gone here has been an utter disappointment. And usually, after it’s been about a year since my last visit, I get curious and optimistic that maybe, just maybe, they’ve gotten better. Unfortunately, I just leave in frustration. The staff hardly speak English, making ordering a frustrating chore. I think it’s a prerequisite that you can’t fluently speak the language of the people to get hired here. The food is always subpar and I don’t know where they get their chicken, but it’s always half the size that any other Popeyes serves! The breaded tenders are always 10% meat and 90% breading. I truly don’t know how it could be so bad… Corporate Popeyes, please look into this location.

Don’t use mobile orders here!
I put in a mobile order for two wraps and for whatever reason it didn’t go through their system. The people working there were rude the entire time, not interested in helping at all and just ignoring me. This was NOT a screenshot, I showed them the order on my actual app and the charge hitting my credit card AND I had the receipt in my email. They did not care. Told me to cancel and reorder. Fine. Guess what? It’s impossible to cancel a mobile order. If you go through the help on the app it literally says it’s impossible to cancel an order. So the guys working there wanted me to put in a new order to get my food but I would be paying twice! They still did not care even after showing them that it’s impossible to cancel. I attached a screenshot to this review.
The service here is SO stingy and rude. After my experience, I read other recent 1 star reviews where the amount of food was lacking and I’m not surprised. Stingy management = short changed food.
They eventually made my TWO wraps, ONLY a SIX dollar order but it took 45 mins of arguing with them. Not very fast for fast food. Horrible experience, puts me off Popeyes and won’t be eating there again.

Don’t ask for them to make food fresh for you, they’ll make you wait an extended time just to be petty.
I asked for a 12-piece spicy tenders, they tried to serve me what was in the warmer. I declined because I want my chicken fresh. I have never had a problem with Popeyes filling such an order, but apparently at this location they don’t think they will sell strips they’ve been sitting in the warmer and so I should be happy with that. So they made me wait upwards of half an hour because I didn’t want what was sitting in the warmer.
This is the manager that’s doing this. Around 6pm on November 17, 2025. I’ll be writing an official complaint to Popeyes corporate offices.
I’ll never visit this location again. I can recommend the Vancouver Mall location wholeheartedly. They give great service with a smile. Go there instead.

MESSED UP our order! We bought 12 tenders, spicy!! We got all 12 NON SPICY! We ordered large Cajun fries. We got them COLD AND STALE! This felt like a total scam!! Way to go Popeyes! Highly disappointed! It’s the Super Bowl match day so we had to rush home else I would have returned it. Such a loss though.

They aggressively screw up orders and always leave out sauce. We just went through drive through, dude refused to do two separate orders and then left out a sandwich and all the sauce and then it took 25 minutes of arguing with them to get our food… Then even the replacement sandwich is missing bacon and cheese and now our food is ice cold. Absolutely abysmal experience.

Always love Popeyes chicken, and mash potatoes. I especially love it with the honey but it’s usually forgotten but when I asked for a bunch of honey the guy was really sweet/kind about it when other places I’ve been to have been kind of standoffish about it. My order number was 666. Need I say more. Not one piece of regular style chicken at 12:45 in the afternoon. And you find out not at the menu board when you order, but they tell you when you drive up and pay.

Here’s the thing, I was so excited to leave a 5 star review. We got the food insanely quick and had overall good service by the employee. I was super pleased with it, but I wish they wouldve taken a few more seconds, so that my order would be correct. I wasnt given my apple pie, I was given ice in my no ice “sprite,” and on top of that it wasnt even sprite. It was soda water! It kinda ruined it for me man. I was so happy and then sad. It felt like when my father left. I loved him but his issues ruined our relationship. I love yall and want to keep loving you. ❤️
