The Popeyes food quality was consistent, however, the service quality with these Gen Z staff continues to decline. I waited over 20 minutes for my order because the front of house and back of house did not communicate about how and when to drop the food and were not monitoring the tickets coming from the kiosk we are required to use. This happened on top of the fact that I wanted to pay in cash and the server pretended as if they couldn’t cash a 50 dollar bill for a family meal that costs 45 dollars, it would have only been 6 dollars in change, he didn’t want to count it. Second, he was totally unhelpful with the order and sent me back to complete the order again instead of taking my cash. Then, as described above, they were standing around not processing my order because they didn’t communicate the tickets. I teach, so I’m well aware this generation struggles with basic literacy and numeracy, AND, in a service based economy you have to train them to meet guests needs and act as if the job they do matters. We go out in a period of inflation to ease our burdens, not encounter a more frustrating experience than cooking. I would suggest management and staff attend some hospitality training and have real adults on staff who know how to supervise this generation

It’s just Popeye’s. Let’s review it though. This location has always been hit or miss for me. This time it was what I would expect from fast food. Average service, below average atmosphere and pretty good food. The nuggets are generously sized and taste great. The hit or miss fries were hitting. Biscuit great. The sandwich would have been good but the “spicy” sauce was not pleasant. Taste of acid and chili, like a bad buffalo sauce and ruined the sandwich for me. Couldn’t really taste anything else in it but the sauce.

Disappointing. I’ll leave the other issues out of this and lead with what I find inexcusable. Our order was supposed to come with sauces. I’m standing at the front counter, I watch the man bagging the food. He checks under the counter. He checks at the drive thru window. He comes back to the front counter and pushes the bag over to me. I ask “Where’s the sauce?”. Mind you, this is the first time we have exchanged words. His response was “What sauce?”. He really wanted to pretend like he didn’t know there was supposed to be sauce. I find out the store is out of buffalo sauce – no big deal. But why pretend like everything is fine and not just ask me what I want instead? Of course I get home and about 1/3 of my items are missing. Should know better than to not check at the store. Terrible employee.

Had a nice time talking with the manager name felita. She is an awesome manager and have great employees that work for. The place was clean and tidy and the food was prepared properly and tasty. I highly recommend this Popeyes to anyone that’s in the area of the ASU college. It is a very Lively atmosphere and a great diverse group of people that actually come here. You can actually feel secure and safe.

I ordered the classic fish, and there was Cajun sauce all over the outer package. Then I looked at the fish, and it was burnt on the edges which I was trying to figure out how. I cut it in half to see if I could salvage it, but it was awful. I reached out for a refund because that was a waste of my money, and I still haven’t heard back from the restaurant. And the fries were rubbery.

Food was fresh and manager was polite. The rest of the staff was not so pleasant. Most of them were standing in the lobby, or walking back and forth from the lobby to behind the counter. They were talking about inappropriate subjects and made my family uncomfortable. The food is really good, so I’ll just go through drive thru next time.

The manager there this morning 9/14/25 is rude to the customers and her employees alike! Very disrespectful and unwelcoming. The kind woman in drive thru walked over to her manager trying to clarify something since the speaker wasn’t working (manager took order from front counter) and the manager gave her the most disgusting look and neck roll and nastily yelled “I TOLD THEM ALREADY UGHH.” Send that attitude packing! Will not be back. What happened to Ms Pam? I prefer her.

Whatever Popeyes pay an hour I deserve it for the 1/2 hour I waited on my food for nothing.I was ignored at the front counter for 10 minutes the restaurant wasn’t busy they were having a payroll problem or something that has nothing to do with me. I placed my order and after 25 minutes front counter girl asks for my order and guy in the back says I’m about to drop it. My love of fast food is definitely fading away. Sorry, she’s not doing her job. The light-skinned lady with the small ponytail, who is the manager, is just looking at her phone and not taking orders, even though they’re not busy.
