When I visit Pittsburgh, this is my first stop. Ropa vieja arepa with maduro, cheese and shredded beef is a winner, best thing I’ve gotten here. Served with a generous side dish. Quite a few juices and drinks, soursop juice was amazing, they make it fresh to order. Love their sauces, esp the green sauce. Food is made pretty quickly with love. 100% recommend.

Great place! I am biased as my family is Colombian. But the food here is excellent. We had Arepas and empanadas and they were fantastic. The service was excellent and we would definitely come back. Do yourself a favor and get a taste of Colombia and you will come back for more!

5 Stars – An Instant Favorite! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We were on our way to get sushi when we walked past The Colombian Spot, checked out the menu, and made a last-minute call to switch plan and I’m so glad we did. The food was incredible. My wife is Colombian, and she said it was the closest to her grandmother’s cooking she’s had in years, which says a lot.
We don’t eat out much anymore because quality has gone downhill, but that’s definitely not the case here. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. This place shot straight to the top of our Pittsburgh favorites, and we’ll be back often. If you’re thinking about going, just do it, you won’t regret it. We already want to go back!

I am unable to eat anything with gluten, so I looked up “gf restaurants” and this came up; I’m so glad it did! Most of their menu is gluten free! The arepas were amazing, and my partner’s dish had cheese so stretchy it was unreal. Everything was delicious and filling. I highly recommend this place!

I’ve been going to this restaurant since 2019, and I don’t know what happened, but lately the food has been gross. The customer service is still amazing and everyone is super friendly, but the food itself has turned into complete trash. It used to be genuinely good, so I can’t justify the price anymore with this level of quality. As a Hispanic, I know exactly how this food is supposed to taste, and this ain’t it.It feels like they’re more focused on expanding and cutting corners somewhere, because the food definitely doesn’t taste the same anymore. I honestly predict this restaurant will shut down in the next few years if they keep going down this path.
