We are delighted to bring artisan Argentinian style empanadas to San Antonio. Our dough and fillings are made from scratch and with fresh ingredients. We started with very small orders and deliveries, but the uniqueness of our empanadas and the word of mouth have made us grow. Being rated as the best empanadas in town make us very proud and we always strive to provide the feel good “filling” in every bite.

This was my husband’s and my first time visiting, and it definitely won’t be our last. We ordered the spicy beef empanadas and the pineapple empanada, and everything was absolutely delicious. The empanadas were very filling, full of flavor, and exceeded our expectations. Such a great first experience — we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Absolutely the best empanadas I have eaten in San Antonio. I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth. The empanadas are large and fully stuffed. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients were very fresh and great quality, and the taste was phenomenal. My favorite was the chicken, cheese, and spinach. This place is definitely a hidden gem. I hope they keep getting good business because I never want this gem to disappear.

Absolutely delicious. I’d return here every visit to the city and take some home as well. The flavors of the chicken spinach were rich and contained inside the soft yet crisp dough of the empanada. So fun to add the stamped name “Fat Tummy” into the crust. Also tried the spicy beef. First bite got me as spic-E! Then my mouth adjusted and I couldn’t get enough of the heat. Just yum! The location is a whole in the wall that’s pretty rough on the inside but the food is delicious.

Super awesome spot for empanadas. They are huge. I couldn’t eat for the rest of the day after I had my 3 and the desert ones. I got a beef and potato which was excellent. The chicken cheese and spinach was juicy. The dessert one with guava and cheese was great too. You can’t go wrong with any of their choices. The chimichurri compliments them very well. The staff here is super friendly and helpful to navigate their menu. Food came out quickly and I will definitely be back again to check out more of their menu.

I checked this out because of diners, drive ins and dives. It lived up to it’s expectation! I got the spinach and cheese. Was so dang good! It was fat and I couldn’t finish it all. But so dang delicious! It was also fun to pin where in NJ we came from too!

Before heading home to Houston I mentioned Fat Tummy Empanadas to my husband and reminded him we had seen the episode with Guy Fieri on DDD at this place.
My husband ordered the ham and cheese and the spicy beef. I ordered the chicken, cheese and spinach. We asked for the spicy and the mild chimichuri. We were blown away by everything we ate! Hubby loved the spicy beef, and my chicken, cheese and spinach was perfection! For dessert we tried the guava and cream cheese and the dulce de leche. Both were delicious with a black Americano coffee!
The owners were the sweetest! We will definitely be back the next time we are in San Antonio!!

Ordered a spicy chicken, spicy beef, and a rajas con queso. The beef is definitely on the spicer side. The chicken wasn’t as spicy. Loved the food and staff was very welcoming. I’m not sure if the a/c doesn’t work or is on low but it is a bit hot inside. Other than that great experience.

Just had THE BEST FOOD EVER!!! I’m an empanada person, but these are the best I have ever had…and the chimychurry sauce…OMG…I could drink that by the gallon! If u haven’t had u haven’t lived. They are from Argentina, so they make authentic food, with amazing spices and flavor. If u r looking for spicy (hot) they don’t do that, they do FLAVOR…so if u love deliciousness this is a must visit! They do Savory, sweet empanadas, they have 2 sizes…u can get them hot or cold and take them home to cook later (in the oven, or air fryer). U can put in orders in advance for parties, and they even sell the chimmychurry sauce! They have it all! And best of all…they are family run and SO sweet! Def worth a visit! We are going back soon…and all I can say is I’m glad they are far away, because if they weren’t, I would have a fat tummy!
