went to eat at popeyes today. First of all the floors were so greasy and oily i definitely could see myself falling over had i been there long enough. grease and oil did not end there, it was also on the chair i sat in, and the table I ate on. girl did not ask me if i wanted dine in or takeout. gave me a bag, had to ask for a tray because i had already noticed how dirty the table was. Ordered ghost pepper chicken sandwich with bacon. i received my food in the little tinfoil bag, it wasn’t really wrapped just crookedly folded over once. the chicken was the worst part, it was super super crusty like to the point where it was more crust than chicken. somthing was definitely up with the batter they were using back there. and the chicken inside all that batter once i got to it finally was dry and yellow looking. i’ve honestly never really seen chicken that looked like that before kinda spooked me. i took some pictures of it after i had kinda got freaked out and tore it apart to see exactly what i was attempting to eat and yeah you can see some of the yellow tint the chicken has on one of the pieces in the background. I threw everything away after because i really didn’t feel like i should eat it. Shame because i always really liked popeyes chicken for the time that greenwood has had one but it’s so far away from me it was always a bit of a special occasion thing for me but this experience solidified that i will never be returning there.

The food is good but the service is always terrible. They never seem like they know what they are doing. Placing orders through the app to have the food ready ahead of time is a waste. Today, I placed an order at 2:30 and scheduled it to be picked up at 4:15. They were not busy (2 cars and an older couple waiting inside). They didn’t even know about my order when I got there at 4:20 and I could see it on their display by the food. They had to cook the wings I ordered (18) and I had to wait 20 more mins. There was an older couple that had only ordered chicken strip meals and they had to wait 40+ mins for that, they were still waiting when I left and quite angry (the staff didnt seemed bothered by it). Need to retrain the whole staff when it comes to managing orders and how much food to have prepared.

Place looks open, yet doors locked. Watch employees show up at 1530. They start taking orders, drive thru only, and a 25 min wait….Again.
How many times can you be at pre, or dinner times and not have chicken ready to fill orders. Seeing empty chkn trays, while watching the kitchen staff just battering more to cook, why?
Tried the chkn tenders this time for the $20, 9 pc special. Worst fried batter with a pinch of chkn ever. Worse than groc store Tyson bag o strips by far.

Well… we gave the owner time to correct the problems here and returned at around 11:40 am after church a few weeks ago. I normally dont do reviews but my husband and I were regular customers here and noticed nothing was done to correct the problems. No one came to the counter to wait on us and hardly any chicken on the racks. Workers looked at us and kept walking around behind the food service area. No one seemed in a hurry to prepare food and We just left and went to eat somewhere else. We used to eat here every Sunday and looked forward to the hot chicken and great service. The manager was always friendly and made sure hot chicken was ready to go. What has happened here? Sunday is Church day with large numbers of people wanting Popeyes Chicken and customers turning and walking away after standing in line with no service. I heard the previous manager left for a job in Anderson at Zaxby’s. If I owned this place Id be paying him a visit and getting my customers back before this place folds up like the last one!

Placed an online order, came to pickup my order, still waited another 30 minutes. Looked like one guy behind the counter running his butt off, and everyone else walking around complaining. A little alarming walking in and seeing a “B” grade from the health department on the door! I need to find the next closest Popeyes! Love the Chicken, but service is a joke. How much food can the one guy cook while taking orders at the counter and pushing out orders?

I’ve been a student at Lander for a year and a half now. Last year, it was fine, it was alright. This semester, I’ve come every couple weeks (sometimes multiple times a week) and have routinely been disappointed. Yesterday, they gave me two sandwiches that were heavenly, truly incredible. I went back today hoping that they had turned a corner, only to have to wait 20 minutes for ONE sandwich and then having it be charred. While eating, I had to make a truly concerted effort to even take a bite. Absolutely terrible and atrocious. I’ve tried so hard to stay faithful that this Popeye’s will be good, but every time it’s been awful (except for yesterday) and today was just something else.

I would love to give this place a better rating, however on my last order I never received my food and have not gotten a refund. Customer support has given me the run around for 4 days with no resolution beyond “we can offer you a $20 credit, but that’s the best we can do”

The food was delicious. Fries were served cold but still tasty. The place was a wreck. The service was terrible. The girl who took our order got each persons order wrong. I wanted a number 5 she rang up 5 pieces of chicken?
High chair was filthy. When I asked the manager for some napkins he said I would have to wait. “He had a line”. They had only just walked in. He never brought out the napkins!!
