Not the highest quality food and prices seem just a tad high since the food is pretty much food truck level. Everything had that frozen bulk purchase texture and taste like it was all fried in the same oil thase was not fresh. I had clam strips, shrimp and fish with fries (chips) and a side of onion rings. The piece of fish was by far the best entree, but the old oil and the over breading gave the fish a hard shell though the fish was still flaky on the inside. Couldn’t finish the oily onion rings or the lackluster chips. I may try them one more time to try the fish bites and coconut shrimp sticks, but they would need to be amazing to get even half a star more.

I haven’t been to one of these since the late 80’s. I didn’t even know they were still around. The food was delicious . I would have to say that they use the same batter they did way back. Tasted just like I remember. A million times better than a L.J.S. If you like L.J.S. you have to have Skipper’s it will blow them out of the water.

My husband called in the order and we were shorted an order . I went to pick it up was assured the one order was in there. The clam chowder is not good. It’s not what clam chowder is supposed to be like.

the workers dont seem to care if they get your order right or not you should be ok with not getting the food you ordered if they didnt charge you for it, is what i was told by the manager. So my wife had to run back into town and get Mcdonalds because they didnt get her meaql in the order. THIS IS NOT A REAL SKIPPERS. The chowder is not even skippers chowder. Beware before you dine here.

Definitely a let down. It was hot in the dining room, the clam chowder was runny and the fish was the same as I could buy frozen and put in the air fryer.

I worked at a Skippers years ago when they still dominated the seafood fast food industry. I think this is the only one left in what used to be a multi state chain. It is still impressive. There should be more locations as they far surpass their competitors.
