I love, love Love Popeye’s chicken. Especially the spicy joint. I love their Red beans and rice and I think they have the best biscuits. The service was slack. They were just standing around in a huddle not greeting us. I almost said something but I wasn’t trying to fight, I just wanted to eat so I was patient. The chicken was good.

Horrible service, rudest workers, consistently wrong orders. Dirty inside and staff are dirty. Food is edible at least but not worth me ever coming back again. If I hadnt ordered online and already paid I wouldn’t have waited the 30 minutes for my food in the parking lot.

I ordered DoorDash tonight for myself and my kids. I ordered plain chicken sandwiches — specifically no pickles — just mayo, along with fries, sweet tea, a biscuit, red beans and rice, and two strawberry-and-cream pies.
What I received were bacon and cheese chicken sandwiches. I clearly stated no pickles, yet the sandwiches still had pickles on them. In addition, I was missing the red beans and rice, the biscuit, and the pies.
When I called the store to explain the issue, I was met with an “okay” and no effort to resolve the situation. That response was unacceptable.
I do not want a generic “sorry for the inconvenience” reply. Based on other reviews, this appears to be a repeated issue with your staff. If items are unavailable, they should be removed from the ordering options or canceled, not sent incorrectly or left out entirely.
This experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially when ordering food for children.

I should have gone somewhere else. I wasn’t able to place my order online, for some odd reason, so I went to the restaurant to place my takeout order. While waiting for my order I had a look around. There was only one other customer in the restaurant, so not busy at all, but apparently no one had time to wipe down the fork/napkin/straw table, because it was covered in sticky goo. There was also a bucket of soapy water left out by the beverage machine, which didn’t really look sanitary even though the bucket said “sanitizer” on it. I even found a drive-thru headset left at one is the tables. My order was prepared and packaged quickly, but I’m sorry I didn’t check it before leaving, because the flounder sandwich I ordered (and paid $5.99 for) was missing. I was already home before noticing, so even though my family yelled at me for not checking the order before leaving the restaurant, I didn’t go back and we made due with the food we did get, which was pretty good. After eating, I tried calling the restaurant to request a refund for the flounder sandwich I didn’t get, but I could only leave a message. So far I’ve received no response. I’ll update this review if I get a callback. Oh yeah, and I’m puzzled about why they can’t take online orders, even through their app, but they have a rack in the store especially for online orders.
Update: I finally did get a call back the next day. I explained that I didn’t get the flounder sandwich for which I paid. I got no apology. I was told by the caller that she could not/would not refund my money. I would have to come to the store and she would replace the sandwich. I told her I didn’t want a replacement sandwich, and she could just put the money back on my credit card. I offered to email the receipt to her. She still refused to help me. Thanks for a lousy experience, Popeye!

Went to the drive thru to pick up my order, was asked to pull up, waited 20 mins and walked inside my order was bagged and sitting on top of a shelf had been ready they just never brought it out, got home and was missing three items called to let them know and the lady who answered asked when I could come and get what was left out let her know I didnt know due to I got it to go and couldn’t come back today gave her a day I could and she hung up on me didnt ask for my info or anything. This is the second time my order has been in correct and first time I reached out, there was no reason to be rude as I was not being rude, just like to receive what I paid for and if it is incorrect dont be rude to customers for just wanting it to be made right.

Went through the drive through and no one answered even after saying hello to the speaker multiple times. I pulled around and parked and went inside and there was no one visible at the front to take my order. Then a heavy-set lady (don’t know her name) came from the back and she appeared upset. Another female and a male with a mop came from the corner and the upset lady began to complain about frustrations she has with other coworkers and how no one cleaned up/did their job etc. After standing there for a few minutes while they walked back and forth a lady came to the counter and asked what I was having. I have always liked Popeyes chicken but I will never go back to this location again.

The wait for food is crazy long and most of the time at this location, they either mess up your order or they completely forget to give you something you ordered. Go to KFC cause they have all around better food and much better at getting your order correct.

I ordered DoorDash two chicken sandwiches and a three piece tender that I paid almost $15 for I also ordered four sides of the Popeyes sauce and I only received the chicken sandwich sandwiches no sauce no tenders. And I called them to ask about the tenders and sauces and nobody picks up the phone. Very dissatisfied, wouldn’t recommend.

⭐ 1-Star Review: Consistent Problems Across Multiple Locations
I am extremely disappointed with the ongoing issues at multiple Popeyes locations in Spartanburg County — including Westgate, Eastside, and Boiling Springs. Every visit is the same: employees standing around, orders sitting unprepared, and no sense of urgency or accountability.
I am repeatedly told they are “out of most sodas” or “out of chicken sandwiches,” and this isn’t an occasional problem — it has become the standard experience. There appears to be a serious lack of training, supervision, and basic customer service. The operations feel completely mismanaged.
As both a customer and a shareholder, I feel it’s important to warn others: do not waste your time, money, or energy expecting a pleasant or efficient visit to these locations. These stores are failing and are in urgent need of a complete operational overhaul.
Popeyes can and should do better.
