Let me start by saying all Popeye’s are not created equal. That being said, this one was great. This popeye’s had very little foot traffic. I had no wait in line, although it was obvious they were working on orders or pick up. When I tell you the fish sandwich was so crisp and delicious! I was really shocked. It was the freshest, Crispest, moistest fish sandwich that I’ve had in a long time, and it was very big. The fish was bigger than the bun. The bun was nice and fresh. Try it!

The best one I’ve been to. I hate that it’s so far from home but it’s worth the drive for the smiles and great food. I used to frequent popeyes in Maryland all the time, after moving south I quickly realized there weren’t any around. In a spate of activity several opened up but they are all lacking in customer service and the food is terrible. The chicken batter was thick and heavy, the fries were lukewarm at best and they were always out of drinks or condiments, and soon I saw closures. I am therefore ecstatic at finding this gem with hot fries light crispy chicken and great service, I am looking forward to my next trip out that way.

Very disappointed in the service and the attitudes of the employees. Ordered my food online got to restaurant and went thru the drive thru. The girl in the window pulled me forward in front of another car already waiting. After 10 minutes I went inside to see how much longer it was going to be. They hadn’t even started out food. I was frustrated and asked how much longer it would be it had been 45 minutes already. Another woman got an attitude with me and said to another employee to come deal with me cause she can get really disrespectful. I was appalled by this experience.

Manager was super friendly, telling us about specials and such. Can’t say the same about what I assume was the district manager. Literally called her manager stupid. It’s not a wonder that people don’t want to work for restaurants. Not only do they not make enough to survive but then to be talked to like that by management. Yikes!!

I wish I had gotten her name, but she was the only woman working at about 6:30 pm. this evening. She was the top Popeye’s employee I’ve ever had at the many Popeyes I’ve dined at across the country in our motorhome from our residence in Southern California. She was training a new employee and was just as kind and accommodating to him as she was to me and my wife. In addition to the great food that you can always expect at Popeyes she put a smile on our faces.

I went to Popeyes in Shelby North Carolina today. I went inside to get take out. It wasn’t busy. Which gets to my point later. I got a 3 piece Dinner. Fries. 2 Classic Chicken Sandwiches. Then while I’m waiting I see people picking up orders for people to lazy to get it themselves. They fix their orders and do nothing about mine. I’d like to say how long i was waiting but I don’t have a sundial. Doesn’t matter how good the Chicken is if your service is horrible and you ignore your customers. No I don’t recommend this Popeyes at all

Stopped by on the way back to Asheville, grabbed a bite. Drive thru was friendly and accurate with our order. We had four combos with drinks for 4, paid $40. The food was hot, fast, and correct. Customer service with a smile!

Welcoming Staff, went through drive thru… Food was cooked to order, grounds were clean and neat. A little pricey , but there are offers on site. *****UPDATE…..Had a return visit a few days ago, ordered 24 ghost pepper wings and biscuits. Hummmmm ..Not so pleasant experience. The wings had black and Grey spots on them, and also had a funny smell. Maybe I received a bad batch this go around. This definitely Lowered the rating.
