The Kingston, NY location is absolutely terrible when it comes to customer service. Every time I have come here I am constantly endlessly waiting to receive my food. They over charged me, they forgot things, and they are too lazy to make more sides so they are always out of everything. The people that work here always seem mad or angry with life because they have to work when you pull up through the drive-thru. They are completely disrespectful and always have an attitude when all I am doing is being patient and respectful. It got to a point where I got sick of going back into the restaurant that I decided to cut my losses and left. The food is good but would recommend for other people to go to another location.

This Popeyes is kind of incompetent. I’ve never understood why when you go through the drive-thru, they won’t pull you up from the machine until the customer ahead of you has their food and is gone. Can they not work on more than 1 order at a time? Why are they so painfully slow? Why do they sometimes fight me that my order is something that it isn’t, and insist they’re right? I put in my order, I know I said Dr. Pepper and not orange Fanta.

The online ordering states this location (Kingston NY) had the fish sandwiches so my husband asked me to pick one up on my way home for him. The employee states no fish sandwiches. I told her online states they have them to which she replied you can order them but we don’t have them so it will just cancel the order if you place an online order. Instead I ordered basic chicken sandwiches off the menu without customizations, sides or drinks. My receipt printed at 4:11pm and the employee asked me to pull up to the door for the food instead of waiting at the window (not a large order just 6 chicken sandwiches). In the time I have been waiting, 4 cars have now ordered food and been helped at the window each being handed 2+ bags of food and drinks. While I sit at the door as instructed, I see the employees in the dining area carrying on and laughing for extended periods of time with people who they appear to know as they hug when they left. An employee brought the bag of food out so I put my window down to take the bag which she instead slingshot in my window and states here’s your stuff, turned and walked away. My receipt printed at 4:11 and I did not get my bag until 4:38. 27 minutes for 6 of their most popular menu items and most basic sandwiches with cars coming after me getting the same menu item as I ordered when I overheard them ordering while I sat there. This is unacceptable and the worst customer experience I have ever received from a Popeyes. I do not recommend this Kingston location.

Love this environment , always great fresh food. I am reading some of the reviews here and it’s sadden me that some of these ppl that used to work here are bashing the store cause of their personal problems lol but I been coming here for with my grandkids for almost 3 years and everyone is the best especially the manager himself. My granddaughter works here and she has no complain and Everybody come and try for yourselves. Unfortunately, people hate and only Way for them to spread hate is throw in a bad review but MARK MY WORDS this Popeyes has improved big time especially with the new management in pass two years great people great food

i love this place. food is always fresh and never a long wait. we obviously have to wait for food at times in any place cause we want them fresh but that’s how it works 🙂 i’m happy that it’s right by my house and i can come anytime. thank you popeyes. recommended!!

Let me start by saying I’ve always heard popeyes has a system issue. When coming in to get my order today the system was down after waiting an hour and I had to leave and come back to pick up my food BUT the workers kept powering through. It was during the lunch rush which I believe they have very little to do with the system issue. Maggie is a worker that came in on her day off to help move things along and she was crushing it. There was another man that looked like a manager who got a drink, looked at all of us waiting, and then just went in the back not sure of his role in it all ?? But Maggie and the food team kept pumping out orders all with great customer service. I know it can be frustrating when you as a worker take the heat for a system issue…. But every employee I saw in there was positive despite and the kitchen was working together. I mean im a manager, So i might have been dissecting more of the system aspect instead of just the “fast food” part. Still sometimes because of breakdowns in the system, food isn’t fast…in those scenarios you have your teams customer service skill to lean on. 5 stars from me! Popeyes food is great when you have a great team.
