At least you actually had the chicken sandwich, hence the extra star. But….40 minute wait. One tiny little pickle chip. No thermal bag for the sandwich. Chicken did not look nearly as good as so many other sandwiches I’ve seen on social media. Breading was flaking off and falling apart. Not happy. It was a tender and juicy piece of chicken but the sandwich itself was below my expectations due to missing pickles and soggy breading.

Drove an hour away to get Popeyes since this is the only halal one in NJ and wanted to see the hype. While making my order, I added the offer with the spicy chicken sandwich and since the location was far, I made the purchase and left so I wouldn’t delay my lunch break. Once I got there, I was given one sandwich and saw on my receipt that only one sandwich went through. I applied the offer and made sure I saw it prior to me adding my payment info. I provided the offer and the number for the cashier, but she refused to take it. My order was well over $10 and unfortunately this was the only halal location. I ended up ordering another sandwich since it was for my wife and went back home. I checked my bag and as part of the chicken meal, there were suppose to be biscuits. Checked all the boxes and there were no biscuits. Not only is there only 1 halal location that’s an hour away, and there was bad service/technology invested behind the application, but my order wasn’t even fulfilled. This is just a very disappointing first time experience.

Guys this place is NOT HALAL, the chicken they serve is halal, but the oil they fry it in is NOT HALAL. They use animal fat oil, which is not halal. Please do not advertise as halal and be carful. Maybe places have halal meat but use none halal oils or other things that make our food not halal

All menu items are halal except mesh potatoes, confirmed by on duty staff. The bad part is I order online and pickup in store. When I open at iftar time my order was missing some of the items. They should make sure all items are packed before handover to the customer.

I have been to this location multiple times and tonight was the worst experience me and my family have ever had. The staff didnt seem to know what they were doing, or how to handle a rush. The wait to get the food was horrendous, and didnt really speed up even after a manager came out. The butterfly shrimp was crazy spicy, and didnt receive sauce for the shrimp, or the sauce for the tenders. The sweet tea also tasted like it had been sitting out for quite a while. Extremely disappointed in the service tonight.
