This is the only Popeyes I ever go to and it’s for a good reason. It’s the best one in the state!! The foods always hot and fresh and their staff is really nice. I wanted to shout out the staff working tonight (2/1/26 @5:40 ish)!! The food was great and I can’t believe how nicely assembled my box was. This just shows how much care this store puts into their work. 10/10 team!!!!

This wasn’t an isolated incident—it happened everywhere, almost simultaneously.
What truly sets the Johnston location apart, though, is the extra care and attention you’ll find here. It’s clear this is a labor of love, with the actual owner nearly always on-site, smile on his face, greeting everyone he has an opportunity to say hi to and working hard in the kitchen ensuring everything runs smoothly. I’ve never heard this gentleman talk down in any way to an employee, rather I hear him complimenting their efforts, causing even the whole staff to have smiles and truly connect as a team behind the scenes.
The place is spotless. The moment someone gets up from a table, a worker runs out and sprays down the table with sanitizing cleaner and sweeps up, then wipes down the trash and soda dispenser. It’s truly like watching a well oiled machine hard at work in a machine shop. Consistent and reliable.

Fist time back in years team was so amazing most calmest place and staff. The cashier was friendly and had a smile she was very polite and helpful she also had really good service. The food was not too bad but the potato’s was very peppery the chicken sandwich was really good alone with the pie so that was a bonus. The store was really clean and well kept.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Had gone on Sunday 2/23/20 for a meal and waited 20 minutes after ordering through drive-thru. Upon arrival to my home, I opened the box and found MOLD on all of the biscuits. This establishment has been falling quickly and needs to be reviewed by the Department of Health immediately. The health and safety of customers should be the first priority of every establishment. I have filed a complaint with Popeye’s but have yet to be given a response!

Went to Johnston location waited a long time for three piece tender and shrimp and large ice tea the tea was water I poured it out in front of the owner who was serving me he said it’s fine so I got a different drink went back almost two weeks later ordered same think and my shrimp was just a few pieces and the mac n cheese was old look at pictures this is the worst Popeyes very consistent on bad reviews you got KFC around the corner my new chicken spot
So I come back to this location for a third time I’m in the middle of ordering my food and the manager/owner comes out and says to hey how are you don’t worry ill make sure the chicken is cooked I said excuse me he said I left a review on uncooked chicken sorry wasn’t me you can see my review what’s wrong you get to many bad reviews you can’t keep track even if I did leave a review like that as a owner you should be more professional and not call out a customer on a bad visit at your establishment you should correct the problem needless to say I left and went to kfc last time I go to any Popeyes
