I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I felt I had to share my experience. I’ve ordered from this restaurant several times before and always appreciated how close it is to home. Unfortunately, the quality and portion sizes have really gone downhill.
This time, the burrito I ordered was almost entirely tortilla—barely any meat and no veggies at all. On top of that, the meat has been overly salty the last few times I’ve ordered. It’s disappointing to see how much the food has changed, and sadly, I won’t be ordering from here again.

I decided to try out their steak burrito loaded with all the goodies. It was loaded with plenty of tasty meat and was perfectly wrapped. Their coffee was very mild but it satisfied my coffee craving. We were greeted and seated immediately. Their friendly staff was very warming. What I don’t think is fair or right is that management will not allow you to tip their waitresses on your credit or debit. So, if you don’t know about their policy and many people don’t, then the waitresses go without a tip unless you leave the restaurant, go to an ATM and return to tip them. Management needs to change with the times and change that policy.

Don’t come here a lot. But will never come again. Got 4 carne asada tacos and either they didn’t know which is crazy/impossible or was trying to get rid of it but you can clearly tell the meat it was old. It smelled terrible and then the first bite it tasted even worse. Never again go to Taconazo open later and food even better

However, what I dislike is that $2 extra for using the credit/debit card. Not only that, but don’t give me my total verbally.. turn around add 2 dollars and give me a receipt with different amount. Either A – let me know how much you are actually going to charge me or B upgrade your POS system. There are many places nowadays that don’t do this anymore. Is it even legal? Are you using this as tip?

Some grease found in the red sauce!
This is the last time I order from Poncitlan #5; I’ve ordered about 4 times before.
Traditionally the red sauce has no grease solids.
Two out of three sauces had it.
I couldn’t believe it smeared when I touched it, I was hoping it was a piece of onion.
I suspect, but cannot prove, that they re-use sauces from leftovers.
Oil would be a liquid in a sauce, this is grease.
Great taste, but I don’t like making exceptions.
