This place has a great menu alot of variety however I have been there twice both times about 7:30/8 pm and as soon as we walk up to order they tell us we only have pork and rice or chicken and rice so no need to look be looking in menu (in Spanish) so both things are actually pretty good I do recommend but on the other hand customer service is not all that great. They have made us feel rushed like hurry up and order.

I love Pollo Tropical so much that i even worked was a manager for 4yrs. But I have the app and they can’t scan it so i was told to scan my receipts. And i said it was dine in and it was put as take out not once but twice. And employees should be bi lingual. Last time I checked it was America not other Latin countries.

Long waiting time, staff talks constantly among each other, incorrect orders returned, small amounts of food, staff chooses orders to prepare first despite your order number. Overall, it lacks customer service and proper training which all falls on the manager and area manager of this place. Not returning.

Beware do not go to this Pollo Tropical. Horrible experience. The people that work there are beyond rude. The wait is incredibly long they do not care. On top of that the try to overcharge you and come up with the worst excuses trying to cover up the fact they try to scams and steal from their customers. I ordered the Family Meal with white rice and black beans which on the menu says $15.99 the drive thru guy then tells me it’s $21. I asked why if the menu says $15.99 he proceeded to tell me that’s a special only before 4. I re-read the menu and noticed it didn’t say anything like that. So i asked to speak to the manager which at this restaurant is worse. The manager Ailen changes the story and tells me the $15.99 is a weekend special. So i show her the picture of the restaurant menu ( glad I took it before leaving the order speaker) that show the price and she keeps telling me it’s a weekend special. Clearly the menu doesn’t say that it. So at this point I’m so upset I tell her if they want lie they have to change the menu as it’s false advertising. I ask for her restaurant information and her name and it’s not until this point she says she will do me the favor and give me the price it says on the menu . Which is not a favor at all it’s the restaurant price!! I used to love Pollo Tropical now it’s becoming the worse experience ever.

This was my first experience at Pollo Tropical – I was told that it’s the Latin-American version of fast food and should try it. I used the drive-through because it’s more convenient and the line moved quickly and wasn’t too long for 1pm in the afternoon. We were greeted in Spanish, not being fluent my partner only needed to say ‘English’ to quickly be greeted by a friendly English speaking employee. We ordered a grilled chicken Cuban sandwich, 1/2 chicken with rice & beans, and cheesy yuca bites. When we got up to the drive-thru window we noticed they had a sticker on the window with several sauce options and we got the cilantro garlic sauce and the pineapple rum sauce. We were not charged extra for these and they gave us two of each – they were delicious additions to our meals and I will definitely be trying more on a future visit. Our food was fresh and tasty. The cheesy yuca bites were a personal favorite. We could tell the 1/2 chiken was grilled when we ordered it as it didn’t have that dry taste that chicken that sits on a heat lamp gets. My experience was great and I will definitely be returning.

Always a good place to eat but the bone in chicken was very dry. The difference between when it’s relatively fresh off the grill vs when it’s been sitting for a while is very noticeable
