The chicken dinner is 30 plus tax. It was so moist and tender. The beans and rice is 1/2 a pint each. A stack or corn tortillas. The dining area room needs work. The kitchen seemed really clean to me. Sorry no pics next time.

It’s a Polleria. That means a place that serves chicken. Get the chicken, the pollo asada. The whole bird if you have plenty to feed or a refrigerator that can keep the leftovers. Yes, there are bones, don’t be such a wuss.

Don’t expect such a tiny place to be good at everything or to cater to every expectation or to be particularly good at serving people who eat in. The place is pretty obviously set up for take away from giant bottles of Pop, to whole bags of chips, and as others have said a charge for plates and silverware (we didn’t even try as we’re not blind to the way it’s set up). And traditionally a Polleria is to go roast chickens with a set of fixings. We used to go to El Pollo Loco all the time in Southern California, so maybe we knew more than some.

These are generous and hot, too. Freshly grilled tortillas, rice, and beans to go with your chicken that’s topped with a plentitude of grilled green onions and jalapenos. It’s not a rotisserie chicken, so no crisp skin, just solid seasoning, juicy meat, really tasty green and a super hot red sauce, and solid sides. And the pieces were so hot they were steaming as he cut them and placed them into the box

Take it to go. Go to a park or your house and eat it with your silverware and plates and we ended up mostly using our hands, it was that good.

Besides a little bit of an English to Spanish language barrier, this restaurant is awesome. Super authentic atmosphere and the food was delicious. I will be returning soon! PLUS: they have the authentic, nacho flavored Doritos chips that I have only found in Mexico.

So delicious. Outrageously good chicken and tortas. The spicy roasted peppers feel like they’ll cure me of… everything. Be patient and let them work their magic. You are not here to be wined and dined and wowed by fancy surroundings: you are here to get delicious, authentic Mexican food from a locally-owned business.

Good food, but don’t expect to be blown away. Be ready for “small business slow” service. This morning it was just this one lady rushing around so please be aware that you’ll need to be patient.

It smelled wonderful when I went in because she was working a few batches of chicken and some really good-smelling sauce.

They have a policy of $10 or more for credit card charges, which could be an issue for some, so consider bringing some cash or be ready to buy some takis or other imported snacks.

All in all I can see myself visiting here in the near future for a bite on the go if time isn’t super critical or if I’m hankering for a feast; their lunch special looks like it could feed a small family.

Horrible service, expensive food, dirty restaurant. Standing in line they asked me to move so that customers behind me could be taken care of first.

I don’t have anything against holes in the wall… I’ve actually had some of the best street food from these places. Polleria la fogata was not one of them.

Blue Corn Tacos literally just down the street has much better food, clean area and friendly service.

The chicken special is BEYOND delicious as are the rice and beans and yummy salsa that accompany the meal. I’ve been searching for an authentic Mexican take out place in Longmont and was so happy I found this place. The owners are super friendly and always give me top notch service.

We love this place and come here frequently. This is a small family-owned counter serve restaurant (very Mexican) which specializes in grilled chicken called “pollo asado”. The chicken is delicious and comes with beans, rice, tortillas, and grilled jalapenos. They have other Mexican food as well but I’ve only had the chicken. They often run out closer to closing time but you can call ahead and they will reserve something and prepare it to go.
