Not everything is a hit (Mac and cheese is usually lacking for example) but they have some really great food here. The hushpuppies and green beans are especially good. Mashed potatoes and gravy is pretty good, too. Prices are reasonable.

I like this establishment. It’s clean, the staff was very pleasant, and the chicken was really tasty. You can takeout or eat-in. The restaurant is located in a shopping mall with ample parking. Their specialty is chicken however, they have an extensive menu that I hope to further indulge. I found their prices to be more than fair for the quanty of food you get with your order. I got their chicken, which i found to be moist and tender and fried to perfection. You can purchase the chicken as a meal or individual pieces. I also got an order of their baked beans which you can oreder in small, medium, or large containers. All in all I found Pollard’s to be a pleasant experience and plan on visiting again.

I had lunch from Pollards Chicken in Great Bridge recently. I’ve been working from home for months, as have many of us, and just needed something different. I didn’t feel like driving out. The lunch hour is to short for the drive there and back, so to maximize my hour I had the meal delivered via DoorDash.

I ordered the 4-Piece Chicken meal which comes with a breast, thigh, wing and drumstick. Along with that 2 sides and a couple of puffs. Sides were mashed potatoes with their chicken gravy and fried okra.

The meal arrived very quickly after the driver picked it up and was still hot upon delivery. I enjoyed half of it for lunch and the other half for dinner. Zero complaints. I’m looking forward to having some more Pollards soon. Especially their chicken gravy. It’s amazing.

Ordered a chicken gizzard large and there were not many pieces inside. Almost like someone had eaten some and given me the rest. I’ve ordered this many times and the first time experiencing this. Very disappointed

I just tried to call your restaurant and it was busy for thirty minutes. I called 72 times in a row in hopes to catch someone as soon as they hung up the phone because I had someone on the way there to pick up my order. When she got there to pick up the order she asked about the phone why it was busy for so long she said we have been busy. Funny how after she left the phone rang when I called. Apparently there are four young girls working the counter talking to a friend at the counter when she got there. When I finally got thru I asked if the phone had been off the hook and she said yes. So maybe we should pay attention a little more to what we are doing instead of talking to a friend at the counter.

This one star makes me sad.

I had a promo credit for Postmates delivery and decided that fried clams were in order. I’ve had take out from Pollard’s before (way before Postmates was even an idea) but have never been this disappointed in my meal. For the same amount of money I can get 3 times the amount of clams from Captain D’s. I know clams aren’t their forte, they are called Pollard’s Chicken for a reason, after all, but what was delivered to me was more of a snack size with sides. I ordered the clams platter with mac n cheese and baked beans and ordered sweet potato fries and what they list as ‘homemade corn muffinS’ which is in fact, one muffin. Of all that food, the hush puppies tasted the best. The SP fries weren’t cooked all the way through, the corn muffin was somewhat tasteless and the clams weren’t just disappointing in quantity but quality as well. I brought the mac n cheese and beans home but ended up just throwing them away.

After delivery, taxes/tip and meal cost, those 2 hush puppies cost me $23.57.

Ya win some, ya lose some. That meal fell into the loss column.

Every time I’m in town and have the opportunity to stop by this location I’m always impressed by their fresh fried chicken and their quick service. I don’t know that I’ve ever had a bad experience here and I highly recommend it to anyone that is in the area. Best Fried chicken in the area!

Very disappointed that I didn’t receive what we ordered. I ordered the 24 piece chicken tenders, with two sides of mashed potatoes, and an order of corn on the cob, also an order of cole slaw. It’s my fault that I didn’t check the bags. I remembered that their service was previously impeccable. The chicken was a correct count and delicious. The mashed potatoes were good. No corn on the cob, and no cole slaw. Instead, we got what looked like a dark brown applesauce, but no one here could tell what it was by the taste. No one liked it at all. For an $80 dinner, I expected to get what I ordered. This is why I no longer get fried chicken at Hardee’s. I expected better from Pollards.

Excellent service in the restaurant when placing my order. I ordered to go and once I went to eat my chicken at home all of my chicken was raw. Which was disappointing because this was my first experience at this restaurant. Granted I arrived at the restaurant at 7:20 but to receive raw chicken is a health hazard.

We ordered takeout so we didn’t eat inside. It has been over 30 years since I ate at Pollards. The chicken was as good as I remember, and those puffs are still awesome!
