First I want to say Good luck & congrats to the new owners! I have to say we were really excited when we found out that there are new owners to the deli. We are even more excited to find out that Mike was working there & will be cooking. He cuts the PERFECT cold cut, & loved his food when he was at his last place. We ordered breakfast this morning (Mike wasn’t cooking) & when we got it home we were really really disappointed to see that some things never change. One of the things we do like to order with breakfast are home fries & when it was Ray n’ Charles the home fries had absolutely no flavor, & no other ingredients besides cooked, burned potatoes. We got the same exact thing today. Home fries should be made with roasted not burned potatoes & they should always have onions in them with some red or green peppers sometimes even both but something, absolutely anything to give it some flavor. Our sandwiches were cold & part of the order was two scrambled eggs on white toast with bacon but it was very obvious that the sandwich was only one scrambled egg with bacon. As for the home fries, you can see in the picture what we got was an order of what looks like day old heated up potatoes that were so burned We immediately threw them away. We really hope you change things up & make this deli even better than what it used to be at one time. We love that you have extended hours and the ladies behind the counter seem really nice! The new cleaner look of the place is great too. I hope you don’t concentrate so much on the smoke shop part of the store that you forget about the great space you have there for food. Get excited about the ingredients in your food and make it an amazing place to go. Can’t wait to see your new printed menus as well, with hopefully some exciting new quick items!!

What used to be a great quality deli is now vice central. Long gone are the Ray n Charles days where one could get delicious food and friendly service, something I proved to myself after 3 subpar visits to this place since new ownership.
Their bagels and pastries are not made in store anymore. The grill cook has been different in every visit, which killed consistency. And the counter service… well, it hasn’t been the best on either visit, but today was the worst.
I stood by the counter for almost 10 minutes without being acknowledged, even though the girl up front walked by me 4+ times and even dispensed tobacco to people that came in after me.
But I think this is not a staff problem. Ever since the new owners took over, the overall experience quality has gone down. The workers that everyone in the community knew are gone, allegedly because of poor pay and unsustainable hours. And I believe it, because it shows.
This is 3rd strike for me. It’s sad to see that this place is now geared towards giving people more of what they don’t need (booze and cigarettes), and less of what they do (good food and good service).

As a self-proclaimed breakfast connoisseur, I consider myself a credible judge of a good morning meal. When I visited, the owner was behind the grill. To be fair, the menu described the breakfast platter as including home fries, but what we actually received were potatoes—check out the picture! That said, the price was reasonable. I’m happier to have a new establishment. I didn’t like the previous owner since they were extremely over priced and were left wings. I hope this feedback will help make improvements.

Tried to go here for lunch a bunch of times (just left there with same story) varying from 2pm-3pm and every time I am told the grill is shut down and the cold cut slicer is cleaned so I cannot get any food. You are open until 6pm most days and 8pm (today) on others. How can you prevent customers from getting food 3-5 hours before you are supposed to close? You should be cleaning up the slicer and turning off the grill close to your closing time. This is unacceptable! You truly don’t care about the customers trying to order food. You only care about the smoke shop area & beer sales. If things don’t change you will lose a lot of business. There is Ryan’s deli a short drive away that doesn’t close the kitchen down 3 hours before they close….and there are a million beer and smoke shops around.

New owners of Ray & Charles thst I think are PERFECT for our area. Brittany runs a tight ship and is always running around taking care of details. Hailey makes the most amazing hero’s and I will NEVER go anywhere else for my favorite hero! Their attention to customer service, changing hours to accommodate locals who have dealt with the location closed early every day! They really do care and is a local business with supporting! ❤️Tom
